chapter 16

Evelyn's pov

"yes i know" i say to my dad through the phone, "right well i was just checking, but Evelyn i dont care if hes in charge of the fucking world im going to treat him just like i would if he was any other man my daughter was bringing home"

"yes dad i know you have already told me, i will see you soon ok i love you" i end the phone and knock on Xavier door, immediately the door swings open and Noah is stood smiling at me "hey big man, your looking very handsome" he jumps into my arms and i walk into the house and close the door.

he is dressed in a white polo shirt, black pants and black shoes "you are very pretty" noah kisses me on the cheek "thanks" he smiles and i smile back "are we going seeing you dad and brother" noah questions.

"yep, they wanted to meet you" noah was about to speak but i suddenly somebody speaks behind me "you look pretty"  Xavier says kissing my cheek, i laugh "like father like son i guess, noah just said and did the exact same thing" he chuckles and then high fives noah

i look at what Xavier's wearing , black pants, black belt and a black button up shirt that he has efts the first two buttons undone along with the sleeves rolled up and a sliver chain , he smirks when he sees me looking.

he places a hand on my waist "we should get going, don't want to be late" i nod my head and readjust noah on my hip.

we pull up outside of my dads house, i instantly recognise my brothers car, xavier opens mine and noah's door and places his hand on my hip.i knock on the door and noah rushes to my side, i pick him up and he wraps his arms around my neck.

the door swings open and my dad is stood there "princess, come in" he gestures us in the door, once we are in xavier sticks his hand out for my dad to shake "nice to meet you mr peters, im xavier"  my dad looks him up and down and then shakes his hand "nice to meet".

"and you must be noah, now i have heard lots about you" my dad says his normal voice, which is more welcoming than how he spoke to noah,  "hello mr peters" noah says in a shy voice "oh you can call me carl" i roll my eyes at this as he didnt say this to xavier.

we follow my dad into the dinning room where my brother his, both Xavier and my brother introduce themselves, my brother eyes up xavier but keeps it friendly as noah is in the room.

"please sit down" my dad gestures to the chairs "is there anything this little man doesn't like" my dad questions "big man" both me and noah correct him, my dad laughs "sorry".

"he can be a bit iffy when it comes to fish and mushrooms" xavier replys to his question "ive done hunters chicken" xavier nods and i take a seat next to him, noah sit on the other side of me and my brother sits facing xavier.

he places a hand on my thigh and i give him a reassuring smile, a few seconds later my dad walks back into the room with the food and gives us all a plate  "this looks great mr peters" xavier says "dont say anything until you've tried it" both my dad and xavier chuckle.

"what business runs the best for you"  dad starts up conversation "probably guns or car parts"

"wow thats a big difference" my brother nods his head "ben what do you do" Xavier asks  "i work as a firefighter"

"how can you promise my daughters safety, you may run the world but when it comes to my daughter nobody gets in my way of protecting her" i see ben nod his head "dad"

"no,no its ok, mr peters i dont mean to sound arrogant but nobody is on my level when it comes to business they wouldnt make it to hurt her, and i can promise that i will protect her with my life" my dad clears his throat "well lets hope you keep that promise"

xavier nods his head at this "hows work going for you evelyn" my brother ask "good actually" i was about to add on but xaviers phone starts to ring, he looks at the caller and then shakes his head, "please excuse me" xavier stands up and walks out of the room.

"do you like eveyln big man" my dad questions noah, he swallows some of his food "yep, love she very nice" both my dad and ben smile and chuckle, i ruff up his hair "hey" i chuckle.

xavier walks back into the room "what was that about" i question, he takes his seat "just stefano dont worry about it" ill ask him about it later.

we all finish up eating, "well it was nice meeting you both" my dad says shaking xaviers hand "take care of her" he says in a serious voice, " i will" i turn around to wipe noah face but i see my brother pull xavier to the side.

they talk for a minute before they shake hands, "don't be a stranger" my dad hugs me and we walk out to the car
