Your heart's a bird without the wings to fly

Hunter sighed "We wanted to look for you, when I finished treating Wrecker's wounds. I'm just glad you are okay. I'm glad you brought Crosshair with you, but do you have to be so reckless?" Hunter wore a really tired expression at the last sentences.

"It's the 501st blood." I answered with a sheepish grin.

"A-Alright I th-think I should sit down. The shoulder is killing me." I huffed and fell into the seat behind Techs.

"What's wrong with your shoul-  OH... Yeah I get the Med Kit." and with that Hunter vanished into the back of the ship.

He came back after a few minutes with the Med Kit and went to work.

"I'm really impressed you haven't passed out yet."

I laughed weakly and to be honest I could sleep right here and now. It was a really long, exhausting day, consisting of running, fighting and being captured. It was really a good idea that Hunter left Omega at Cids bar.

I hissed as Hunter put some disinfectant on my wounds. Why do I have to be hit twice at the same spot? Hunter put some bandages around my wound and I sighed. Finally. He stood up and went to the seat beside Tech and plopped down. I guess it was for everyone a long day, but at least we got Crosshair back and now we just have to get rid of his chip.

After a few hours in Hyperspace in the small Marauder did Crosshair wake up. You could see that he was disoriented and tried to take his surroundings in.

Wrecker was now also in the Cockpit after he got bored in the back of the Marauder and is currently leaning against the wall behind Crosshairs seat. It seemed like he also noticed that Cross is now awake. The two in the front seats noticed this as well, because their conservation died down. All of the sudden there was a tense atmosphere in the Cockpit and all eyes were trained on Crosshairs figure.

Crosshair groaned and it seemed like he was fully awake now since he's looking daggers at each one of us.

"What do you want?" Crosshair snarled and there was already his familiar scowl on his face "I won't tell you anything!".

"We don't want information, we just want to remove your chip." Hunter answered with a false calmness.

I exchanged a look with Tech and it seems like he also doesn't know what to do.

"You are to late. I already removed my chip!"

"And why are you still in the empire?" Tech asked and you could clearly feel his anger and confusion.

"Because we were made to serve the empire and you are Traitors. Why should I go back to Traitors?"

I was really confused. Would Crosshair really think that? They were Batchmates since they came out of their tubes. Why would he say that?

I stole a look at Crosshairs right site to see if he has a scar where the chip is supposed to be. There isn't a scar, so it's possible that he's lying. A shout interrupted my train of thoughts.

"Oh please. Don't mention the number one rule'we don't let anyone left behind'because you did exactly that. You just left me there and you did nothing to get me back and you were more concerned about Omega!" When he finished, his eyes were glassy and he was panting, like the anger was held back for too long.

Everyone in the room were to stunned to speak an after a long silence I finally spoke up "I don't think Cross removed his chip there isn't a single scar on the side of his head and Cross I know it isn't a Excuse that will make anything better, but we didn't know about the chips at the time and we really missed you and we are glad we have you half back back."

Nobody said anything and Cross started to find the floor very interesting, so I continued "We should contact the captain and see if he has an idea where we can remove his chip safely or if we have to take the risk to remove his chip, if he hasn't removed is chip at the trash planet we were before."

Everyone beside Crosshair nodded silently and I took it as a Que and went to the back. I hob my right arm and paused. There was no left arm and the motion made pain rush through my whole side. I groaned and went back to the boys.

Hunter had already a knowing look on his face and tossed his comlink to me. I thanked him and  again went back.

It didn't took long for a small, blue to pop up. "Hello Vod, what's wrong?".

"Hey cap, nothings wrong. We finally got Cross back an we need a safe place to remove his chip."

"Actually I was asking, because right arm, which his missing for the lower part and is wrapped in bandages, but I guess Cross or his men took a toll on you."

"Well long story short we were at Tambors, Cross showed up and I took the opportunity to kill Tambor and get Cross or at least I hope he's dead."

"Vod you know revenge is not the right way."

"I'm no Jedi so it's fine."

Rex small figure smiled. "Anyway, back to the point. You and your Batch can take Crosshair to Alderaan. Senator Organa will await you. He has some excellent medics. "

"Alright, thank you."

"I'll await you." and with that Rex figure vanished and I made my way back to inform the rest of the Batch.

I'm really glad we are finally on Alderaan. Chip-Crosshair (or Chiphair how I secretly call him) is more annoying than Crosshair without a chip on his bad days.

Alderaan was a really beautiful planet. There were so many plants and the building were breathtaking and I didn't even start to talk about Organas palace.

We are currently waiting for Crosshairs operation to be over and you could see that everyone was nervous. Tech rambling some facts about the planet and the Organa Family. I just started to ignore him at some point. Wrecker was walking the hallway up and down and Hunter was currently talking to Omega to fill her in and probably also because he needs a distraction.

After some long waiting the doors finally opened and we all rushed in at once and if the door wan't so big we would've probably got stuck. The medbay looked like every other medbay if you don't count the really large window with a fantastic sight. Crosshair sat upright in a bed in the middle of the room under white covers. He looked lost and he looked so much like my older self when I was rescued from the Tech Union. The only difference were that he has his limps.

We gathered around his bed and after some moments he finally looked up.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sory. I didn't mean to hurt you."

I was really shocked. The figure who was now clinging onto his brothers, wasn't the Crosshair I knew. Like his wings, which showed independence and stubbornness, were cut off.

And something in me was willing to do anything to give him his wings back. I will make sure of it.
