"My father said what?! And you responded with what?! And my sister said what?!" Byakuya looked like his head was going to explode while (y/n) calmly drank her tea, giving him some time to calm down before she spoke again. "That's what happened, your highness. I'm telling you the truth.""Why did you say that to my father?! He could've executed you for that! And why didn't you come straight to my room when my sister said these things?!" (Y/n) put the cup down again. "Because I had to get another cup of tea. You ordered two."
"I ordered two to drink tea with you and not with her! And I'm not involved with another female individual! Gosh, I hate this family." Letting out a groan, the prince suddenly seemed more than just exhausted. "All this while I have to plan my proposal and the dancing... The dancing."
He looked at her, his icy blue orbs piercing into hers. "Do you know how to dance? You will have to do that a lot as my future wife." Her cheeks flushed a light red. 'It sounds nice to be called that by him. I wonder if he maybe...'
"Yes, I know how to dance. I'm actually quite good at it." She said before she could finish her thought. "Good. Now that we discussed that, I need to talk to you about something very important." His voice was serious as he spoke, making a nervous feeling wander through her body.
"Something important? Is it about the ball? Or anything that I have to do for you?" The blonde prince leaned back as he shook his head. "It's nothing like that. It regards our private relationship." Her eyes widened as her heartbeat began to speed up, drastically. "Our private relationship...?"
"Yes. Officially, you're known as my fiance that I will marry so I can succeed in becoming the next king. But I honestly don't think that I like that title." He took a sip of his tea, which appeared to be cold already. At least that's what his disgusted expression looked like.
"What do you mean with that?" Byakuya stood up, dusting off his suit as he walked over to her chair, placing his hands on her shoulders from behind. "I don't like it that people talk about us like this. After all, I'm not only marrying you because of that."
At this rate, (y/n) was sure that her heart was going to beat out of her chest. 'He's not marrying me just because of the title...? Could that mean...?' "Y-Your highness, I don't quite understand what you mean with that... What else are you hoping to get out of this marriage...?"
His hands travelled down to her arms, gently squeezing them. "Of course, the title is one of the most important things in my life. After all, I'm a prince. But just because I'm a royal doesn't mean I don't do some things like commoners do them."
'He's doing this on purpose, isn't he? He's just stretching this conversation out as much as possible.' Suddenly, the prince grabbed her wrist, pulling her up to her feet, his arms wrapping around her waist. "Commoners marry because of love, don't they? That's what I'm doing too. I'm marrying you out of love."
"Love, your highness...? Did I hear that right...?" His nose touched hers lightly when he leaned forward. A small smirk made its way onto his lips as he noticed how red her face had gotten. "Yes. Love. I'm marrying you because I love you, (y/n) (l/n)."
