Since Clayton Smith can remember he has always wanted to be a CEO. It might sound a little silly that a child would want to be a CEO when they grow up and not an astronaut or a firefighter.

The reason this strong-hearted kid was so eager to grow up and be a successful CEO was not because of the money, or for the power. Clay just didn't want to disappoint his parents.

Clay's father was CEO and creator of the famous "Dream Corp.". "Dream Corp." is a company that gives small creators a chance for fame. Whether their struggling artists, unheard Musicians, or Internet Influencers, they can have a chance at reaching their dream job.

How it works is if the company sees a creator that they think has potential, they work with them and have them improve on skills like business, revenue, how to be successful, etc., etc. Finally, once the creator starts gaining attention from the public and makes more money. A good percent of that aid money goes to "Dream Corp.". It's a win-win situation and works extremely well.

In present day, 2 years ago Clays dad retired as CEO and gave the new positions to his son, Clayton. This, being a big deal after Clay's dad has been CEO of "Dream Corp." for over 20 years, caused speculations online to rise about whether "the new CEO" would be a good fit or not.

Although overall, Clay has been doing an amazing job within the 2 years he's been boss. Raising over 6.9 million dollars just for the company, not including the amount raised for the creators.

"Alright, is everyone comfortable?" Clay says, receiving multiple nods from his employees. They were sat down in a conference room in the main office building located in Sothern Orlando. They were discussing ideas, thoughts, concerns, and just everything about the company and where it's going. The meeting went for about 45 minutes before they were about to end.

"I think this about wraps it up with everything that needs to be addressed for today, thank you all-", but before he finished his sentence, he glances at his watch and sees its 10 minutes before the workday is over. "And have a good night you guys".

Everyone stand heads out the door and chats on their way out of the conference room. Clay, being 22 and significantly less old than most of the people he works with, doesn't have many friends at work.

He does have 3 friends at work and they are some of his best friends in the whole world. So, when he was packing up in his office to head home, when they came in he was elated.

"Hey guys! How was work?", says to them collectively

"Same old, same old boring shit.", His friend Nick says, as he slumps down in one of the 2 chairs in front of Clay's desk.

"It was great! Thanks for asking!", One of the friends, Darryl, exclaims happily as he usually is.

"Woah, what the honk is this??", Another good friend, Karl, says as he picks up a pile of packets and flips his fingers through them.

"wha- oh don't even get me started on that, I have to look through all of those peoples portfolios to see if they would be good enough to be my assistant."

"C, I could be your assistant man.", Nick said in a very fast and obvious tone like Clay should have considered him in the first place.

"It's less than what you getting paid now and you have to run around doing stuff for me", Clay said with a little chuckle at the end of his sentence.

".... yeah nevermind."

Darryl, Karl, and Nick all worked in different departments of the same building. Darryl was the tech guy, so if someone has a problem with their computer or something Darryl is the one to fix it. Karl works at the front desk, and Nick works in accounting where they deal with funding and all that jazz.

"Well C, your in luck! I don't think you'll need to look through all these cause I already have the PERFECT person." Karl says with a smirk on his face.

"And why not?" Clay says in an unsure tone.

"Well my brother's friend is looking for a job and I think this could be perfect, he already has experience as an assistant"

"if you can send me his resumé, I'll give it a once over and see if he's qualified"

--

The next day, Karl strolls into Clays office with resumé in hand. As soon as Clay starts reading he sees that Karl wasn't lying when he said this "George" guy was qualified. He has done multiple assistant jobs and every single one of his old jobs left him a good recommendation afterward. The last job he had for 3 years but his boss passed away.

George Davison looked like a good fit for Clay's assistant.

Later that day, he told Karl that he would gladly take George as his assistant. Karl was thrilled and told him everything he needed to know about George Davidson. He's 25, moved from the UK 4 years ago, very funny, kind, and he's colorblind.

Dream thought that it was weird that Karl told him that he was colorblind but he didn't think anything of it.

--

George was so excited to start his new job, he never worked for someone as famous as the CEO of "Dream Corp." so he considered this to be a big achievement. It had been a week since his friend's brother, Karl, had told him that he had gotten the job. Tomorrow was his first day so he knew he had to look presentable, but not too fancy.

He bought a few suits and even more ties. He even had the suits tailored. He thought that he looked great in them, and that's saying a lot because he never thinks he looks good in anything. He always stares into the mirror at himself till he thinks he looks awful. Not this time though, this time he is not going to worry himself.

The next morning, he wakes up at 8 AM; which gives him 30 minutes to get ready, and 30 minutes to drive. Naturally, he is a little early because he doesn't live that far, he grabs a cup of coffee before heading into work. When he finishes, it's 10 minutes before work so he heads in. As he enters the huge building he is greeted by Karl who has a huge smile on his face.

Even though George is good friends with Karl's brother, they still are friends also.

"you'll love this guy!", Karl says as he leads George to Clays office. " He's a good friend of mine, he can be an ass at some times but gotta love the son of a bitch."

George giggles at the use of Karl's vocabulary as they head to the entrance. When they arrive, Clay isn't in his office.

"Umm... he should be around here somewhere..." Karl says, glancing around the office floor. " I'll go find him for you, good luck!"

"Thanks!" George says as he enters and takes a seat in one of the chairs in front of Clay's desk. He said he wouldn't be nervous but he's still sweating bullets. Being nervous is just a part of his personality, he can't help it. It's the CEO of a company, but Karl saying he doesn't have anything to worry about seemed to help.

--

"Hey! Your assistant came in! I gave him the basic tour of the building before we went to your office, he's in there now." Karl says to Clay after finding him rather quickly.

"Oh sweet! Thank you!" Clay says before swiftly passing Karl and heading to his office.

Lets see what this assistant is like. He thought.
