The sun beat down on our skin for the last time. Today me and Bella was finally going to forks, Washington to stay with our dad while mom and Phil went on the road. I didn't mind it though. I missed dad alot. We haven't seen him in a long while. Mom complained, trying to figure out her phone. "it's doing it again, babies" she said, getting frustrated. I laughed a little when I looked at her phone. "mom, you put it on hold" I said, making her shocked. I knew she would mess up on this touch screen phone. Mom should have stuck to a flip phone. "I did?" She asked. We both nodded and Bella took the phone before laughing with me. "You even called mexico" she said, causing mom to sigh of shame. As soon as we fixed her phone, we exchanged hugs and were interrupted by Phil who was ready to go. "Ladies, I love all three of you but we got to go" he said, putting the last of our bags in the car. I could tell both mom and Phil didn't really want us to go but they were happy we were spending time with dad. We both smiled and quickly got in the car. Phil rolled down the windows and started off the car before we finally left for the airport. we turned the corner and heard the neighbors calling out to us. "bye bella, bye iris. Have a safe trip. Good luck at your new school" the girls call out to us, making both of us wave to them. I would miss the girls mostly because we were on the volleyball team together. We would go out for pizza after every game and bowl until we dropped from exhaustion. Mom though it was funny how I was just so sporty and bella was so shy and introverted. "Bye girls. Have a nice life. Keep racking in those wins for me, would you?" I said, before I turned back to the front and turned on my playlist. During a car ride, I would always listen to my music so I could pass the time. Bella just stared out the front and tried to keep her hair out of my face. Good thing I put my hair up when I got in the car.
~skip the plane ride~
I smiled when me and Bella finally got to the front of the airport and saw dad standing there by his cop car. He smiled back at us and quickly ran up to us. "Dad. I missed you" I said, getting wrapped in his arms. He took a minute before kissing my head. "I missed you too, Oreo" he said, puting me down and turning to bella who was awkwardly standing there. That's what made me and her different. I was overly active and loved adventure. Bella on the other hand loved to sit and be quiet. She was the calm one of the two of us. "hey, bells. It's good to see you" he said, as awkward as my sister. "hey, charl- dad" she said, correcting herself. Mom didn't want her to call dad by his name. Mainly, because of it being disrespectful to him. Dad grabbed our bags and put them in the car before we all got in the car.
