Elizabeth Afton

Chapter 1

The universe. An infinitely large space. And yet some planets have found significance, Earth is one of them. That is why it is here we start our tale. As we begin The Age of Heroes!

Earth, 1981. Hurricane, Utah.

School was finally out for summer vacation and Elizabeth was ready! The end of her first ever half of school. But she was still in the school parking lot waiting for her Daddy to pick her up. The wind blew through her blond hair.

"Daddy, where are you?" Elizabeth asked no one in particular.

Just then a somewhat long purple car drove up to her. It was her Daddy. Elizabeth got in the backseat and then her Daddy started driving home. She sat in silence for some time until she asked her daddy how he was doing.

"Hm? Oh fine, Elizabeth. Fine." Daddy said.

Daddy had been quite distant in his work ever since Mommy died. Elizabeth was hoping that she would finally have a chance for her and her Daddy to spend some time together over summer vacation.

Daddy checked his watch. "Damn it." He said to himself.

"Whats wrong, Daddy?" Asked Elizabeth.

"Why do you ask so many questions, Elizabeth?!" Daddy said.

Elizabeth shrank back in her seat. She didn't say a word to her father for the rest of the ride home.

Once they got home her Daddy got out and unlocked the house, then turned to Elizabeth.

"I've got a lot of work to do so just stay in your room until dinner, got it?" Daddy said.

Elizabeth only nodded.

Elizabeth knew what he was working on, a big beautiful robot girl named Circus Baby. She had seen it through the doorway before but Daddy wouldn't let her even in his office/workshop. She was all white with orange hair in pigtails, she was wearing a red dress and red boots, and her eyes were sky blue. Elizabeth just wanted to play with her! But she knew Daddy wouldn't let her.

Elizabeth's father was William Afton. He ran a robotics company that made entertainment robots for clients.

Elizabeth knew Baby was not like the other robots though. Daddy would just help design the robots he never made them in the house. Elizabeth was almost certain Baby was just for her.

At dinner, Daddy had just reheated some mac and cheese from three nights ago. Elizabeth decided to risk asking her Daddy about Baby.

"Daddy?" Elizabeth said.

"Hm?" William looked up at her from the paper.

"When will I be able to play with Baby?" Elizabeth asked.

William did not look pleased.

"Do NOT ask me about that again, Elizabeth!" William yelled. "Finish your dinner!"

Elizabeth shrank back down and continued eating.

That night Elizabeth decided she would stay up and see Baby after her Daddy went to bed. It was 2:49 by the time she was sure her Daddy was asleep. She got out of bed and tiptoed out of her room. She peeked in her Daddy's room, he was fast asleep. She tiptoed all the way to the office/workshop. She had chills up her spine, it felt like an early Christmas! She slowly opened the door.

"There you are." She said in a whisper.

Standing at the end of the room was Circus Baby. She was shut off. Elizabeth walked closer. She didn't know why her Daddy was still working on her, she looked complete. Elizabeth was only a couple of feet away from Baby now. Suddenly Baby opened her sky blue eyes.

"Hello! I'm Circus Baby! What's your name?" Baby said in an automated voice.

Elizabeth froze. How did she turn on? At least the workshop was far enough away from her Daddy's room that he probably wouldn't hear her. Elizabeth answered Baby's question.

"My name is Elizabeth." Elizabeth said.

"Elizabeth. That is a nice name." Baby said

How did the robot with an automated voice box say her name?

"You're very pretty." Elizabeth said.

"Thank you, Elizabeth." Baby responded.

Baby then tilted her head. "Do you like ice cream, Elizabeth?" Baby asked.

"I...? Yes, I love ice cream." Elizabeth said.

"Did you know I can dispense ice cream?" Baby said.

Baby's chest then opened up to reveal an ice cream cone. "Enjoy." Baby said.

Elizabeth slowly went closer to Baby to take the ice cream. Then suddenly Baby's chest opened up more and a large claw reached out and grabbed Elizabeth!

Elizabeth screamed as she was pulled into the chest of Baby. The chest closed, and Elizabeth started to feel great pain and then nothing but darkness.
