You and Monoma had been friends since middle school. You both were more than excited when you not only both got accepted into but the same class too.

It was Valentine's Day and he wanted to confess to Y/n. He loved them for so long and thought today was the perfect day to confess his feelings to them.

To her, they weren't pretty. But in his eyes she looked like the most gorgeous and beautiful person on earth. To her, they weren't special. But in his eyes, they were everything he needed.
My boi was deep in love

He was too afraid to confess to her though. So he wrote a letter to give to her instead. He planned to slip it in their locker during lunch when the halls were about empty.

On his way to do so he heard a familiar voice around the corner. It was Kendo.

"NO WAY YOU REALLY LIKE AWASE!?" She said loudly

"Calm down, it's just a minor crush..."

Monoma's heart skipped a beat. The other voice he recognized, was Y/n...

He thought to himself. Of course she'd like him. He was charming and good looking, he was kinder and sweeter. Maybe she wanted someone who wasn't an arrogant asshole. He crumbled the letter up and went to his locker where he stuffed in into his bookbag.

'Why doesn't she love my, the way I love her'

He wanted to cry. But he didn't.
If Y/n wanted to date someone else, all he could do was be supportive their relationship.

It was the end of the day and you decided to go over to Monoma's dorm. For some reason he seemed to be down all day and you wanted to see what was up with him. You knocked on the door and waited for a respond. Nothing. You knocked again. Nothing. Getting impatient you twisted the door knob and opened the unlocked door. Once you did you came in contact with the sight of Monoma crying on the floor surrounded in objects that looked like they had been thrown onto the ground. Almost as if a fight had took place.

He looked up to find you standing in the doorway. He suddenly wiped his eyes with the back of his hand and stood up quickly.

"What...happened in here?" You questioned as you closed the door behind you.

"I um...I just bumped into some things."

"Don't lie to me"

"Why do you care anyway? Go hang out with Awase or something since you like him so much." His voice was dark. And cold. You'd never seen him like this. You processed what he had said and thought about it.

"Monoma...did you hear my conversation with Kendo earlier?"

"JUST GET OUT."

You were in shock at him suddenly snapping, tears in his eyes. You didn't want to push any further so you left like he wanted.

It had been a few days since Monoma spoke to you. He played it off like nothing had happened but deep down it was killing him. He wanted to talk to you. He wanted to apologize. He wanted to admit his feelings. But he couldn't bring himself to. He was hurt. He just wanted to love you, to feel you in his arms like when you were sad and he would comfort you. The last thing he ever wanted was to hurt you.

And you on the other hand was still wondering why he was so upset. So what if he did hear the conversation between you and Kendo? Why'd he have a problem with it?

Kendo noticed how weird you guys were acting and wanted answers. So before lunch she found Monoma and told him to meet her in their homeroom class since no ones usually there during lunch.

"What do you want, Kendo. I'm not in the mood for one of your lectures right now." He said firmly. "That's not what this is about."she replied. "Then what is it you want?"the blonde questioned. "I just want to know. What's going on between you and Y/n?"
He paused looking down at his feet not knowing how to respond, but he knew she wouldn't stop asking till she got an answer. He crossed his arms and leans against the wall. "I kind of snapped at her the other day. I heard your conversation about them liking Awase." She went silent.  "Monoma...you didn't hear the full conversation. She's only trying to like someone else because...she loves you..." the boy's eyes widened as he looked up at her. Did he hear that correctly?

"What do you mean...don't screw around with me"

"I'm being serious."

"And why would she do that?"

"She doesn't want to ruin your friendship over her feelings. And she doesn't want to get in your way of your goals. Trust me she didn't want to hurt you in this way."

All of this hit him like a train. He wish he'd known this before snapping at you. "Do you think she could ever forgive me..."

"You'll have to find that out for yourself. But right know we need to go to lunch or else we won't have energy for the rest of class"

"I suppose so."

And off they went.

You we're heading to the dorms since class had ended, thinking off this mess when you heard footsteps. You quickly turned around to see Monoma coming towards you and he began to slow down once he caught up to you. It was silent at first. But then he spoke. "Hey, Y/n, if your not busy can you come to my dorm. I need to talk to you, please?" You hesitated but nodded you head. The walk to his dorm was silent. When you'd both got there he let you in first before closing the door behind him. The room was cleaner than last time you'd been here. The air that filled the room was strange. He stood in front of you awkwardly. The silence continued, so you decided to break it. "Monoma-" you began but you were immediately cut off by him. "Y/n I'm so sorry for how I treated you. I really shouldn't have reacted the way I did, I was a horrible friend and should've supported you but instead took my anger and jealousy out on you. I just didn't know how to...I only reacted this way because of my own personal feelings for you, I didn't think about how you felt. I don't want to ruin our friendship over this, so please will you accept me back?"

Tears were streaming down his face. You could help but feel guilty in all this. All you wanted was to push your feelings for him away to protect your friendship but instead you ruined it.

"Monoma...I don't want anyone else, I just want to love you."

I'll make part 2 soon
