Jin is not looking forward to starting his first day in Tae's office. But he pushes forward and rides the elevator up to his floor with Jungkook.Once they reach their floor, they part ways and Jin walks towards his new office.
He lightly knocks, since it's his first time entering his office. Especially considering that Tae is still his boss.
"Come in." He hears the deep voice yell out. Jin got chills down his body when he heard him.
Jin walks in and before he can say a word, he is surprised by how large and spacious the room actually is. And so well lit. There are two equally large, heavy oak desks in opposite sides of the room. Both with large windows behind them.
"Do you like it?" Tae asks him while handing him a mug of coffee.
Jin grabs it and thanks him as politely as he can. When he looks over at the desk with his box of office supplies, he knew that one would be his.
"Y-yeah.. it's a nice desk. Thanks."
Tae lightly pushes him towards the desk and says, "I told them to leave your things in the box. And that you would arrange your things how you like them."
Jin walks behind the desk and sits in the huge chair. He gives Tae a half smile and says, "Thanks."
He begins taking his things out and starts to fix them around his desk. Then plugs in his laptop to the connections. They are encouraged to use the Ethernet cable for their work computers.
Tae sips from his cup of tea and watches Jin fix his desk how he likes. He then sees him place a picture frame on the corner of an older woman next to an even older woman.
"Who are they?" Tae asks.
Jin responds, "It's my eomma and halmeoni. They're the ones who raised me."
"Oh? Where is your father?"
Jin shrugs his shoulders and says, "Your guess is as good as mine. He left us when I was two years old."
Tae bit his lower lip and slowly walks back to his desk.
After Jin finished setting everything up, he started working on the next presentation they had to prepare for. His concentration was on the work in front of him, and he didn't notice Tae kept staring at him throughout.
He couldn't understand how Jin managed to keep his eyes to himself. And not even try to look his way.
After an hour or so of working, Jin finally looked up and saw Tae with his face cradled on his clasped hands. Just staring at him.
Jin frowned but he's dealt with guys like this before. And he wasn't going to bother acknowledging what he was trying to do. So he stood up and said, "I'll be back." And walks out.
He makes his way to the break room and refills his coffee cup. He then sees Hobi enter the room and he immediately brightens up the room.
"Good morning Jin-ah! How are you feeling? Is everything going ok so far?"
Jin smiles and says, "I'm doing ok I guess. Just thought I'd take a quick break."
"Oh, is your office mate getting on your nerves already? He does that. He is super hot, but he needs to work on his personality a bit."
"Oh, well.. I don't pay much attention to him anyway. So he hasn't bothered me yet."
"You mean to tell me that he's actually leaving you be? Not hovering over you, trying to get close to you?" Hobi asked surprised.
"Yeah, so far."
Hobi stares at him in disbelief. And when Jin notices him going mute, he asks, "What's wrong?"
