Harry's pov:

Emily and I sit in my black range rover as I drive away from the park, watching it slowly fade away in my side view mirror. I mentally decide to take her to a local diner for dinner.

Still thinking about the fact that Emily wants to know more about my past, I wonder how to tell her without breaking down or smashing something on the ground. How would she react if I told her my mum was dead and my dad was abusive, physically, mentally, and verbally? Would she cry if I told her my dad forced me into law school? My thoughts are so loud I'm surprised Emily can't hear them over the dead silence in the car. I break the silence.

"I hope you don't mind if I take you to dinner."

Emily smiles, "I don't mind at all.".

We exchange smiles for a moment but then the silence starts again.

Emily's pov:

Is Harry's life as bad as he makes it to sound? Does he even trust me?

I mentally sigh and push away those thoughts. I decide to think positively. Where is he taking me to dinner? Looking down at my simple ripped shorts and tank top I hope it is nowhere fancy.

Quiet minutes pass by as we pull into a small diner. I smile thinking about how homey it makes me feel just from the view of it.

"We're here." Harry exclaims somewhat excitedly.

I can't help but smile as harry gets out his side only to come over to mine. He opens and shuts the door for me as he leads me into the small restaurant with a hand on my lower back.

We are quickly seated at a table for two in the back corner of the restaurant. I like the space we are in because it is quiet and cozy with much privacy.

Shortly after we are seated Harry finally begins to speak.

"So, how do you like it?".

I smile and respond, " Its very nice Harry."

He smiles a smile of accomplishment almost as if he is honoured that it meets my expectations.

Soon a middle aged waiter comes to our table to take our orders. Harry orders a medium rare steak with a side of chips and a coke, which I order as well. Except replacing the coke with mountain dew.

Harrys pov:

"It is honestly the most attractive thing when a girl orders the same thing as I
do." I say.

Emily laughs the most beautiful laugh and I just can't help but stare and smile.

"Ummm you ok there Harry?" She asks.

I snap back to reality and nod.

"Sorry I was lost in your beauty. Has anyone told you that you have lovely eyes?" I ask.

Just as I finish speaking a smile appears on her face and a blush creeps onto her face.

"No I've never been told that." She replies.

My jaw drops and my eyes widen. Is she actually being surious?

"Wait so your telling me that no one has noticed the beauty in your eyes?"

She shakes her head no.

For the second time my jaw drops and I push a hand through my hair shaking my head.

Her expression is confused. "Why does it shock you?" She asks.

I reply, "It shocks me because I noticed it the first time I saw you."

"Well," she starts, "All the guys I have ever been with were douche bags so it's nice to think I'm on a date with someone polite."

I smile and grab her hand.

"I will always treat you with the respect you deserve."
