**Carly POV**
"Ding Ding Ding" my alarm rung. I reluctantly rolled over to grab my phone and shut off the alarm. Today was the day I dreaded, my first day at my new school. Most kids would be excited, but not me, I wasn't the best at making friends and the only people that cared about me were my friends back in Maine.
New Jersey is a lot different than Maine. The houses are so big and close, my family doesn't have the 2 acres we used to, we barely have half an acre now. My dad had to move here because his new girlfriend got a job here. Of course my opinion in her moving in and moving to a different state didn't matter.
My mom died when I was 5, one car accident was all it took. The medics told me she died instantly, but I knew that was just a lie, I was too young to know all the gory.
"CARLY GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE ITS TIME TO GO." I threw on my capri leggings, and a flannel shirt, and ran downstairs before my dad killed me.
Normal parents would at least give there kids a decent bowl of cereal, but not me I get a strawberry pop tart. I quickly ate it then rushed up stairs to finish getting ready before I missed the bus.
I threw my hair into a messy bun, applied some makeup; concealer, mascara, foundation, and lipgloss, threw my backpack over my shoulder and headed out to my new school, West Centeral Morris High School.
