"So you're 100% sure you still want to move all the way out there?"
Skypaint laughed. "Oh, stop worrying about me, I'll do just fine. Will you be okay out here all by yourself though?"She asked.
Though she knew she would be safe where she was going, it's not like Sugarspice could just take one train ride over. Yes, she knew moving out of Manehatten was definitely a risky move, seeing as once there was open residence it was gone in heartbeat. In other words, ponies would flock like to get her small apartment and odds of being able to move back would definitely drop.
Surgarspice cocked her head, a jingling brown leather headpiece turning with it. It was just a headband wrapped around her head, it just had a silver bell and 2 different color feathers attached to it on one end. The front half of the headpiece was covered by loosely wavy mane that rooted as pink and slowly descended into a brown. Sugarspice's coat was a shiny, pinkish-lavender, and her purple hooves matched the tips of her slightly fluffy ears.
Her big brown eyes glistened in sadness as her long time friend was moving away.
Sky looked Sugar down and back up. She grinned softly, waving her hoof in the air. "If I do get in any kinds of trouble I know someone back in Manehatten would have my back." She quipped.
Sugar grinned softly before her face fell again. "You don't have to leave, do you? I mean, what's gonna happen when they find out about... You know what." She asked looking down.
Sky immediately knew what she was talking about and looked at her back. Looking down her normal torso were her wings, very pale blue like the rest of the body, until they descended into light brown feathers.
That wasn't what was out of the ordinary. In fact, she was used to her feathered wings, they'd been there her whole life.
No, the thing that concerned her friend was her forehead where a horn sat, swirling in magical little patterns.
She was what was called an Alicorn, which was of royal status that she didn't have. Inherently that wasn't the issue, it was more so the fact she had no idea how she's gotten to that point, she hadn't been bestowed that privilege by a princess or anything, and she did remember back to a time she was just a pegasus.
So she really didn't have an explanation as to why this was.
Though it were for whatever reason, Skypaint was fully prepared. She always had either a massive hat with her or at least a jacket.
"You know I can handle that pretty easily." Skypaint reassured her worried earth pony companion.
Sugar dodged a heavy black coat that floated just past her head to Sky's suitcase, which promptly snapped shut. "I just don't understand why you need to go."
Sky shrugged. "Lots of reasons. I've moved a lot and I think Rainbow Falls will be the perfect place to finally get some rest. This city is way to busy, and you know how many times the secret has almost gotten out because of some jerk who bumped into me. That will be easily avoided here."
Sugar looked unconvinced. "You're forgetting how many tourist attractions are in that place, you'd never be able to go to large events in that case." She pointed out.
Sky vigorously shook her head and stamped her hoof to the ground. "Sugar, as much as I know you don't want me to leave, i think I need to. And that... that's final."
Sugar sighed in defeat and her ears drooped in disappointment.
"Then you'd better get going." She grumbled. Sky looked at the clock located on the wall next to the front door and gasped,
"I'm late! Goodbye, Sugar! Stay in touch!" She yelled as she dashed out the front door.
What a way to start out her morning.
