That inferno...there was something...wrong about it.

I felt it lick against my skin, inflicting pain and imparting something upon me.

Something just as wrong. Something just as devastating.

By whatever kind of luck, I was the only one to survive. I was adopted by the person who saved me from the inferno and I made a vow that I'd live my life they way I saw fit, ignoring the preconceived notions everyone else lived by.

And keeping that promise is relatively easy, especially when you can conjure things from nothing.

When I said that flame imparted something on me, i wasn't just being metaphorical. I was given the ability to create things from nothing, so Yen is now an afterthought. Although, when I use this power, I feel a connection to someplace distant.

Still, I'm just a student to everyone else. A student who left all of his history work in the science lab and now has to go to the school in the middle of the night to get it...only to arrive to a sight that would flip my already chaotic existence on it's head.

Gryphon: What could possibly be here? This feeling is so strong here...

I was close to looking past the corner to see what was happening when my "connection" started acting out again, but it was different this time as it only ever did that when I was imagining an item to create. This time my sight was hazy, like I wasn't seeing what was in front of me.
