Waking into Battle

Today started like all others except for one thing, it was the day the final sequel would be released for star wars.
With much anticipation for the day work to be ending so, I could enjoy the movie the "Rise of Skywalker"

After working I fed my birds I said good-bye to them to go to the movie to watch the film.

I went for the evening showing and got my water and cotton candy to enjoy the show as I have enjoyed all the star wars films.

Joining with my friends we gathered in the back row watching with the best seats.
After seeing how it brutally started with kylo running and killing it felt like it was on a good start.

Somehow while watching it felt like something was off like, the movie was only showing clips of what was going on and not the full story.

With the conclusion drawing near I could feel a disconnect with the film and with people around me also confirming this. I wondered why.

What happened to make me feel this way?
Why did it play out like this?
Was this really how it ended?

After leaving the theater I continued to wonder.
Even tell the late hours of the night

I was wondering how it could play out if something was different if someone was different and those thoughts kept twisting with new questions of "what ifs".

Before I fell asleep I gave my grandmother a call like I do every night and tell her how my day was and we talk for several hours.

My oldest bird sitting on my shoulder also occasionally talking and instructing my conversations.

As time went on I got more and more sleepy and the last thing I recall was talking about moving up north and my bird sitting next to me.

My body doesn't feel right.
I shift and move and I try to push it up.
My hands seem to hardly respond to me and my eye feel frozen shut.
Frozen?
More concerned I use as much effort as I can to open my eyes.
Just as I do I see the blinding light of the sky



As I struggle to get my barring. I am greeted with the chills and burning sensation in my whole body.
And when I try to get up a feel a bit of a clawing sensation as I reach over to grab it I find a large talon resting in my hand.

I slowly turn to see a familiar creature.
LULU?

The alien bird tilts its head and then kisses my cheek.

"I'm not sure what's going on but why does this bird look and respond like lulu and where am I?

Staggering to my feet. I start to assess my situation.

I looked at myself and see I'm not wearing the pajamas I wore to bed but long white very padded clothing from my neck down. With large snow buts equipped for walking in the snow.

Fumbling through the pockets to look for a phone or something.
I only find an odd compass and a small kind of a survival pouch.
