Boys

Chapter 2

It's Father's Day. Siegar and Eddy are making food for their dad.
Eddy jumps on the bed next to his dad while Siegar sits down and hands him the tray of food.
"Boys this is a long time ago." He says to them
"Exactly one year." One of them replies
"Sieg, Ed, fantastic." He says beaming at them. Ed then hands the present to his father. He unwraps it pulling out the gift smiling,
"Stef's mother always buys it for his father." Siegar says
Eddy takes the bottle and his dad tells him
"Put it back, or you'll be assailed by woman." While winking at Siegar.
"I don't need shower gel for that." Replies Eddy
"Oh no? Come on spit it out." His fathers says teasing him and then they start to play fight. Siegar takes the tray making sure they didn't knock anything over and then handed it back to his dad when they were done.

* Siegar is running but he comes to a slow to catch his breath. From afar Marc is watching him as he fetches a ball. Siegar looks over and the catch eachother eyes staring at one another for a moment.
"Are you alright?" Coach suddenly asks. Siegar is still looking at Marc, but snaps his head towards coach.
"Sieg, think about your steps. Long steps. It's in the details. Long steps." He says while acting it out. Coach then leaves and Siegar looks over to Marc who is still watching him but suddenly a ball is thrown at Marc but it doesn't hit him and they're eyes are still locked on eachother but then Siegar takes off.

Later Marc comes up to Siegar when they're alone and acts out what the coach ways doing,
"Make long steps, okay? Long steps." He says while smiling. He then pulls out his bandanna and puts it on.
"Do you like it or not? Be honest." He says to Siegar
Siegar pulls out a jump rope and then replies
"In between, is that okay?"
"Sure, then you're always safe." Marc tells him while smiling
"It was a present." Talking about the bandanna
"Does your mom have good taste as well?" He asks
"My mothers dead."  There's a silence but it's not really awkward
"My mother is crazy. At least, when it comes to bandannas." He says and they share a laugh. Siegar then starts to jump rope with Marc's eyes on him.
"You're fast." He says
Siegar stops jump roping meeting Marc's eyes
"What's your secret?" He asks
"Nothing. A lot of training." Siegar says back
"I'm focusing on my knees now. The higher I lift them, the better my steps." He tells Marc as he moves a bit closer to him
" I see. And always with one sock pulled up and the other one down?" Marc questions him
They look at eachother for a moment
"And you? What do you do?" He asks Marc
"I run and that's it."  Siegar looks at him confused
"You mean you never count?" He asks
"No." He smiles at him
"But you need some kind of focus don't you?" He asks
" I run at my best when I don't think about anything." He tells him
"Sometimes I only realize after the race I've run." He says
Siegar just smiles at him turns away and heads back to the track. They're all about to run again getting ready.
"Who wants to go swimming?" Stef asks all of them
"Yep Tom says."
Siegar and Marc look directly at each other
"And you?" Stef asks Marc
"Yes" he says turning away from Siegar
"Are you coming Siegar?"
"Yes" he said. A swim would be great right now.
Coach yells go and they all take off running.

* As they ride their bikes down to the lake Marc messes with Siegar pushing his bike a bit and making him laugh.
"Let's see who's in the water first!" Says Stef. As they all come to a stop, Marc instead go straight into the water taking his bike with him!
Siegar laughs amazed because he's silly. They all laugh as he comes up from the water
"He's really crazy." One of them say
They strip down to there shorts and all jump in. They are all horse playing and messing around. Marc pushes Siegar off of the piece of wood they were sitting on which made him go falling into the water too. Siegar jumps on top of Tom's shoulders and then Marc jumped on his! Marc then puts grass on top of Siegar's head. Later on Siegar is sitting on the piece of wood while Marc is swinging on a rope and the other boys are getting out of the water.
"Where are you going?" Marc asks Stef and Tom
"Dinner time." They say
"Dinner time?" He says more like a question
Siegar jumps off the wood and swims out of the water too.
"Are you going too?" Marc asks him
"Yes." He replies
"Come on, have another swim." He tells to Siegar
"We're just getting started."
He only smiles at him grabbing his stuff
As he and the other boys are riding back home they start to go there separate ways. They says bye but Siegar decides not to go home but only back to the lake.
He stands there awkwardly deciding if he should turn around or just go over the bridge and go talk to Marc, but as he decides to turn around Marc looks back at him,
"Hey." Marc says
"Hey." Siegar says smiling walking towards him

They're skipping rocks chatting often then turn around and mess with some cows making them run off.  Later they jump off the small bridge and into the water laughing and splashing water around. They both get on the price of wood and lay there for a moment looking at the sky. Siegar rolls over going down into the water making Marc laugh.

Soon there is a log. They're on opposite sides of it but Siegar jumps over it to the other side and Marc goes under it and pops up where Siegar just was. Their hands are right on top of eachothers and they move close so their faces were only inches away both breathing heavily from swimming. Marc then leans over and kisses Siegar. It was short because Marc pulled away but Siegar was the one who leaned over this time and kissed him, it was short and simple but their hearts were beating a million miles per second right now and there stomachs were turning flips. They didn't say anything at all but laid on their backs and floated for a while.
They'd put their clothes on and dried off and Siegar was walking to his bike but turned around to face Marc,
"I'm not gay." He said And Marc looked up and smiled at him
"Of course you aren't." He said while smirking
Siegar got on his bike and left, he couldn't think about anything else because he was lost in a trance with this bubbly feeling. He was smiling on his way home and couldn't hear the moped and tractor behind him. That was until his brother road up beside him and grabbed his shoulder.
"Hey, where have you been?" He asks Siegar
"Nothing just swimming." He told him
"Thats all?" He didn't answer him
"Alright I'm going left, see you." He told his little brother and left him on his own back to his house.

"Hey, Dad."
"Hey, kid."
"I already had my dinner. It's in the kitchen." He told his son
"Have you heard from Eddy?" He asked but Siegar already had walked away. He heated up his food and ate then went to bed, but he couldn't sleep. He sat up in his bed twisting a rock from earlier with him and Marc in his fingers.
"Why didn't you call? This isn't a hotel, Ed. We live together." He heard his dad yelling
"That's why we have rules. They also apply to you."
Eddy just groaned and walked up the stairs to his room, Siegar just continued to twist the rock through his fingers.he decided to do push-ups since he couldn't sleep. His mind was racing.
