Shuichi's pov

"DING DING DING DONG DING DONG!!" My door bell rang making me snap out off my train of thought and fall of my bed that I had been lying on for what felt like an eternity. I grone slightly rubbing my head where it hit the floor before going to the door opening it to see the familiar face of kaito, "Ah shuichi there you are I thought you wouldnt answer the door!" he sounds the same as always as the corner of my lips tug slightly making a smile "what is it that you wanted from me anyway?" I asked looking up at him as he wraps a arm around me, "I was wondering if you wanted to go stargazing with me tonight I heard it was gonna be a full moon!" he said with a big bright smile as I felt like I was being drowned in galaxy and stars just by his coat but even though I did want my rest I decided to instead stay up with kaito....Just the two of us....Alone "uh shuichi are you alright you look warm?" I snapped out of my thoughts feeling my face to discover that my cheeks had turned a very bright red as I quickly took my hat off covering my face with it so kaito couldn't see that I look like I'm blushing.

Kaito laughed slightly taking his arm off me "I'll take that as a yes that your okay!" he laughed again as I slightly pulled my hat just underneath my eyes so I could still see him. Kaito laughed again before looking over at the small clock on the walls of the long corridor of dorm rooms we have been living in for a very long time now "oh jeez look at the time I need to go meet up with maki roll I'll see you later for stargazing Shuichi!" he said with a smile before waving to me and heading down the hall and out the door.

When I head back into my room I lock the door before letting out a small grown and covering my face while sliding down the wall of my door "great job shuichi look what you've gotten yourself into!" I sigh to myself going back over to my bed and sitting on the edge burying my head in my hands "by luck he's going to go see Maki right now but later it will just be you and him" I think to myself feeling that warm feeling come back to my cheeks as I shake it away, brushing my hair back fixing my hat and take a few deep breaths looking over at the mirror next to my bed on a small messy desk "okay shuichi you can do this"

Kaito's pov

I brush the grass that I sat on waiting for shuichi to appear I sigh slightly doubting if he would even turn up but that thought soon got crushed by a familiar voice behind me "h-hey kaito" I turned my head a smile formed on my face as I stood up "SIDEKICK!" I yelled running over to shuichi wrapping my arms around him forcing him into one of my famous big bear hug, what I didn't expect was for shuichi to lose his balance making him fall sideways to the ground taking me down with him.

I shut my eyes as we both landed on the grass but when I opened them my face flushed red as I saw my face was right next to his, I felt myself freezing not knowing what to do, when I saw that shuichi probably felt the same way as me it helped me pick myself back up "OHGODSHUICHIAREYOUALRIGHT!?!" I blurt out standing up quickly brushing myself off and offering shuichi a hand as he just quietly nods taking it before we go over and sits down glancing up at the stars.

After a bit of star gazing I noticed that we are still holding hands but I didn't want to let go, it felt warm, and comforting, and that I knew that he was there with me. I glanced over seeing if he had noticed and it looked like he hasn't yet "good if he does then the plan might not go as well"

"So if I try and hold his hand but make sure he doesn't notice I would have gone off to a good start?" I ask as Maki roll nods with a short smile "yes if you do that then you should start off good" I sighed slightly my mind going to the worst "what if he doesn't like me back Maki roll" I look down slightly as I catch a glimpse of her shaking her head

"kaito have a little confidence in yourself I know your going to do great" Maki roll said putting a hand on my shoulder "yeah your right I can do this" I say confidence coming back to me and it painting a smile on my face. "Back to the plan kaito" Maki roll said guiding my mind back "after you do that first bit your gonna need to do nothing special and just be yourself!" I looked at Maki roll taken aback by what she said. 

"uh what?" I ask as she started fidgeting with her hair accessories "you heard me kaito if shuichi loves you too then he will want the real you" I sighed knowing that Maki roll was right "okay thanks Maki roll!" I smile before running off waving to Maki roll "good luck kaito" was all I heard as I ran off

-----------present day---------
Shuichi's pov

"Hey shuichi look!" I look up at what kaito was pointing at to see what it is and turns out it's a full moon "hey yeah thats really cool kaito" I smile looking at him as he looks happy I'm interested in what we are doing right now. I take a quick breath to gain some confidence before I eventually ask him "hey kaito?" he looks at me tilting his head "what's up sidekick?" he asks as I look down my eyes shutting "I w-was wondering i-if you would" I hesitate slightly taking another breath in "GOOUTWITHMEANDMAYBEBEMYBOYFRIEND?!" It all came out as one thing because I felt scared of rejection from him, without realizing it tears formed in my eyes and feel onto the grass below me.

I felt something wrap around me and when I opened my eyes I realized it was kaito hugging me "shhh shuichi it's okay I've got you" his voice was so calming and helped me relax slightly as I buried my head into his shoulder "I'm sorry...." I mumbled into his jacket as he places a hand on my head "you don't need to apologize sidekick you did nothing wrong" he let's go looking at me as I slowly lift my head to look at him whipping away some stray tears "well to answer your question Sidekick" next thing I know he slowly plants a kiss on my cheek making my face go red "I would love too" he smiles as I try to take in what just happened.

"So does that mean we are you know" I stutter out no knowing what else to say "sure thing my little sidekick!"
