AFTER THE EVENTS OF THEIR SOPHOMORE YEAR, AND THEN THE CATASTROPHIC EVENT KNOWN AS THE BLIP, ONE WOULD THINK THAT JASPER AND HER FRIENDS (WHO CALLED THEMSELVES THE LOSER'S CLUB) WOULDN'T EVER SPLIT UP. They had promised long ago that they would always stick together, and even planned to go to the same college. But fate works in twisted ways sometimes, and as their time in high school drew to a close, the group of friends found themselves on different paths. Since everyone in the group had been turned to dust except for Jasper, she was now five years older than the rest of her friends and already attending college. So, by the end of her friends' senior year, Jasper found herself alone in New York, by herself and with no friends to turn to when things got rough at home.

Eventually, Jasper was tired of moping around the house by herself. So, against her better judgement, she accepted a job at her father's company, Kloud 9 Industries. She hated working for her father as he was the biggest douchebag to ever walk the earth (as far as she was concerned), but she needed something to pass the time when she wasn't at school.

It's while at school that Jasper meets Kate Bishop, a decorated student who was strangely optimistic. The two found themselves hanging out with each other despite their stark contrast in personalities - Jasper was a sarcastic, street-smart girl with a strange, somewhat witty sense of humor, and Kate was an perky girl with an upbeat personality and a lot of self-confidence. But they did wind up getting along, and not long after their friendship blossoms, Kate invites Jasper to a high-scale party.

However, at this party, the two friends discover something they were not expecting: a man, threatening Kate's mother, and a black market auction behind held underground. The two manage to make it out when the auction is ambushed, but not without consequence - both girls are now on the radar of a gang of criminals called the Tracksuit Mafia, who want them either captured or dead.

But help comes in the most unlikely of forms: Hawkeye, the retired Avenger who Kate seems to be obsessed with. The older man grudgingly agrees to help the two clear their names from the Tracksuits, but in the process, Kate and Jasper uncover a real-life murder-mystery, a deep conspiracy that's closer to home than they thought, and a growing bond that they can't seem to ignore.

kate is a legend and i wanted to make a fic for her. that's all i have to say.

lol but fr tho, i absolutely LOVED hawkeye, and kate is probably one of my favorite new characters so far. plus, jasper is a character i absolutely adore, mainly because out of all the characters in my marvel series, she's the one that's the most like me. i can't wait for you guys to explore her story in depth with me, and i hope you grow to love her as much as i do.

UPDATE (as of 10/10/22): Also, I would like to make it very clear here. I DO NOT TOLERATE NEGATIVITY OF ANY KIND IN THIS BOOK. I read every single comment in my books and in the past there have been many comments where people have said some very rude things (i.e., telling my characters to fuck off, telling my characters to go fuck themselves, throwing shade or being rude/hateful towards nice, good people just because of what their characters said/did, etc.), and quite frankly, I'm tired of it. So from now on, any comments like that will be deleted if I see them, and if you leave multiple comments of that nature, you will be muted. So basically, if you don't have anything nice to say, do me and yourself a favor and keep it to yourself. Thank you.
