Sparrow's Lot - 9:09 PM

Sparrow and Claude have been together for a year now. They haven't had any dates or done any actual couple stuff. It's not shocking to Sparrow that her boyfriend is a psychopath who kills for a living. What's shocking is his love language. Touching and gift-giving. He doesn't have a voice, so... Texts, sudden touches, and random gifts are something she's learning to accept.

Sparrow had been washing her hands in the kitchen sink and humming to herself. She had her phone close just in case Claude would want to tell her something. It wasn't in her line of sight. Sparrow finally scrubbed the oil and paint off her hands. Turning back to dry them and check her phone, there was a small rectangular gift box in the place of her phone. "What the fuck?" That startled her a little bit. She opened the box and found another phone inside. "Aww... A new phone..." Here's a prime example of that. She didn't feel why he disappeared like that, did she do something without knowing it? I-is this secretly a bomb, for not giving him his breathy morning kiss?!?! She had to brush her teeth, she didn't know!!

"I'll leave it aside for now." Sparrow left the kitchen and wandered into the living room. There was a bouquet of lilacs and lilies, sitting on the coffee table, along with a small box of chocolates and an apple cinnamon scented candle. The woman broke out in a fit of laughter and blushing. "This wasn't here before... I appreciate the gesture but could you leave a note behind?" She squats down to the table and takes the flower bouquet. There was a letter inside.

~I'm upstairs waiting for you. Take your time. Happy Valentine's... P.s. Did I pick the correct chocolate?~

"Aww! He's such a sweetheart." It's dark chocolate. My favorite! "Wait, it's Valentine's? Oh god..." How could I forget? Oh, man... I'm such a terrible girlfriend!
~~
I left the house briefly, I needed a gift for Claude. I'm not very sure about what he likes. Except for one thing. Underneath his side of the bed, he has a large shoebox filled with tiny replicas of Liberty City. I'm not very sure what to call it, other than a- erm... A model? Whatever you call it! I bought paper models of cars and buildings, some alcohol, a new gun, and a card deck. I've seen him shuffle cards before. It's simply magical. Oh! And I wanted to fix up his leather jacket. He seems to care a lot about it. If it ever got torn or ripped up, I could fix it for him. To kick this off to a romantic-er start. You ever heard of the "Virgin Killing Sweater"? Claude's been spamming me about it. I'm wearing that, I also switched out my bland evil black eye patch to a red heart-shaped one. That's all I can do... We've wasted enough time on this.

Compared to the chocolates, new phone, and whatever else is waiting for me. I'm not a very great gift giver. I wish I had asked this beforehand. Sparrow hasn't been in an actual relationship in a while. Maybe, since High School? She used to be a very hot topic, despite her introverted and closed-up nature, she had everyone after her. As much as she wanted to get Claude to open up more, she didn't wanna talk too much or push his buttons. Not the way she did Catalina, not the way she did her father, not the way she did herself.

Catalina told me once before, that he's into buying gifts and extra romancy stuff. She hated that. I think, she said she, beat him over the head with a bouquet too? I kinda see why he's dropping this stuff throughout the house. I wish he didn't have to feel that way.

Sparrow slowly walked up the stairs. She found scattered rose petals on the steps, leading to the hallway. He's really doing this. It's all nice but I've never had this before. Sparrow was carrying a large gift box, full of the items she collected.

Which was pretty large, like when a relative gives you clothes wrapped and packed up in a flimsy rectangular box? She stayed in the car for twenty minutes, trying to get the wrapping done neatly. Box, on top of box, on top of box! She realized that was it was and that she individually wrapped everything, the card desks, the ciggies, oh god... NOT THE CIGGIES!!!

Was she this scared? If she had anything worth keeping, let that be a rushed drawing of her partner, it looked decent. She should've stuck with the car idea. She'd have some dignity from being nude on a foreign car, with the giant bow and mummy wrap, the damn... New car smell, new cat-. Fuck! She's wasted enough time...

Ugh, she felt her gifts were childish. Nothing would be more romantic than having your mute partner scream at you for giving them childish gifts. Childish! childish! childish! Those words repeated in her head, growing more bolder and harsh every step she took.

Now at her bedroom door, she held onto the knob.

Slowly turning it as she stepped forward. She caught a whiff of something very sweet. Like, a type of berry or something thick and well, real fucking sweet. She almost felt light-headed, all this movement and overthinking. "Beau, are you in here?" That was so dumb to ask! Could he knock or make a sound? The bedroom was dimly lit. Candles took over the lighting, the smell of cake rejuvenated the room, and his presence filled her heart. "C-claude?" Who told his fine ass to wear a suit? He was sitting on the bed, holding a black rose in a navy blue suit, his hair was slicked back and he toned down his shadow. His face sure did have a lot to say.

Sparrow didn't know how to react. She just stayed low and stumbled to her silent lover. "I-i got you something..." This man is too fucking fine! Who's his girlfriend? I hope she doesn't mind me taking him for a- For a second there, she forgot who she was. Suits and Tuxedos are my kryptonite! One look and I'll go stupid...

I sat on the bed next to Claude. Trading his black rose for my maroon red gift box. "I didn't know what you liked, so I just bought whatever made me think of you. I'm sorry for not asking and forgetting what today is." His fingers ran along the side of my face. I turned to him, smiling softly. He smiled too. "You're not gonna open it?" I asked. He licked his lips. "Oh, you wanna kiss me first? Alright." I gripped the hem of his suit, pulling him into me. He groaned a bit. I've never heard that. I hope can I hear more.

Sparrow didn't care to watch Claude open the box. She did, but her actual focus was the suit he was wearing. His tie was loosened, and the cologne he wore... It was worn out, mixed in with some of his sweat, and possibly rainwater. Sparrow found that attractive, and concerning. Had he been walking out in the rain in this suit? The dim light and her single eye couldn't make the damp marks clear.

Going back to his groan at the forceful kiss he beseeched for. It was so deep and smooth, like a bottomless pit filled with chocolate. I pulled away from the kiss and bit down on my lip. Trying to sneakily lick my lips. He must like chocolate too. I tasted it. "You taste nice." I smiled. "Now, open the gift. I need a reaction."

He handed me back my old phone, I saw him take out his too. It was brand new?? Wow... Sparrow watched her mute boyfriend as he opened her gift. She scooted away from the voiceless male, awaiting his reaction to her gifts. Claude flashed Sparrow with a small smile. "Y-you actually like it? I'm shocked." The man licked his lips again. Wanting that second kiss, and perhaps more. Sparrow rolled her single brown eye at the man. Biting her bottom lip seductively, and smoothing her fingers through her bouncy thick curls. "Oh... Beau, I don't know how to contain myself when you're wearing that divine suit." Claude's eyes widen in shock. She growled hungrily. "That'll be in the dry cleaners once I'm done with you."
