The Party: A Scott Pilgrim Fan Story

Chapter 1: How It All Started.

The night had ended horribly, no it wasn't some petty fight between two band members, but because rather than heading home for a peaceful evening, Sex Bob-Omb wound up spending the evening at a POLICE STATION! 

Scott and Young Neil were obviously scared, thinking they were in trouble when they really weren't, Steven was just in the background, and Kim was highly intoxicated. But that leaves one last person, Ramona Flowers. She was the reason they were here in the first place, for what reason? A minor crime.

But let's rewind a bit. And go back to where it all began. 

Our crew started their morning at a local coffee shop just a couple of blocks away, Julie had invited them to a party at the nearby shopping district. "Hey....How come I didn't get an invite..." Scott asked seeing his friends open their invitations. "Oh, gee. I can only wonder why." Kim replied being as sarcastic as ever, trying to give Scott the hint that Julie hated his guts and that there was no way he'd be invited. Ramona pulled out a pen and wrote Scott's name next to hers in the card. "Look, Scott. Julie addressed my invitation to both of us!" Ramona said showing Scott the card. Kim and Steven were skeptical at first, but bought it anyway. 

"Do we need to bring anything?" Young Neil asked fidgeting his hands. Ramona read the last paragraph of the invite that said "Bring drinks, food, or whatever. Just don't bring Scott." Neil was not surprised about that last bit about not bringing Scott. "Maybe we could at least bring ONE gift." he muttered. "Neil. This isn't a birthday party. Plus what would Julie possibly want?" Kim scoffed. "I dunno... Just thought it'd be a good idea..." Neil replied. Ramona sighed and paid for the coffee, signaling the group that they had to leave. 

Steven was driving to the shopping district, claiming that he needed something from one of the stores, when he actually wanted to follow up with Neil's suggestion. The van was then parked in the parking lot before Steven turned to face the others in the back seat. "Alright which one of you is gonna go into that mall and get a gift for Julie?" He said. Scott and the others looked at each other before locking eyes with Ramona. "Are you kidding me?!" Remona snapped before caving in and hopping out of the car. 

"I'll be back shortly..." She sighed...
