Bubbles and Kisses

Final

"I'm so sore," Jonghun whined while stretching his limbs as the five walked into the dorm.

Preparations for their latest comeback were well under way and everyone was feeling the pressure. Practice was relentless.

As SHINee, SM expected noting short of perfection from them.

Jonghyun still wasn't used to being back in the dorm, having spent the largest part of the previous year living with his family. The other members were more than comfortable, going their separate ways in the dorm almost immediately.

Onew was already laying on the living room couch, not having bothered to take his shoes off. That small detail proved his exhaustion.

Minho rushed to the kitchen and took out a cold bottle of water from the refrigerator, downing it in a few gulps. Taemin was right behind him, quickly searching through cabinets for a stray pack of ramyun.

Jonghun leaned against the door, shoes and coat still on, groaning about his aching muscles as he watched Key disappear down the hall.

Sighing, he shrugged off his coat and hung it on one of the hooks of the coat rack. He kicked off his shoes carelessly and left them where they landed, knowing all too well that someone would reprimand him about it later.

He passed Onew, already sound asleep on the couch, as he followed after Key down the hall. He walked past the linen closet and quickly paused before grumbling about the leader acting like a child. Lazily, he turned around and pulled a blanket out from the closet and walked back down the hall to the living room.

Jonghyun slipped off Onew's shoes and threw the blanket over him before finally going down the hall find Key.

As soon as he stepped into the room he could hear the water running in their bathroom and a smile worked itself onto his face.

"Bum?" Jonghyun poked his head into the en suite bath, smile only becoming larger once he saw a bathrobe clad Key pouring a ridiculous amount of soap into their filled bathtub.

"Take a bath with me."

Jonghyun's smile turned into a goofy grin as Key shed the robe and flung it over the counter.

"I'm so glad we managed to get the room with a bath."

When Jonghyun's clothes were a pile on the floor and both he and Key were partially submerged in the bubbles, he gave out a content sigh.

They sat across from each other in the tub, soft smiles on their faces as they splashed bubbles at one another.

"It's nice having you back in the dorm, Jjong. I missed having you here."

"I missed being here," Jonghyun reached over and took a hold of Key's hand.

"Things finally feel right again." Key intertwined their fingers, giving Jonghyun's hand a light squeeze.

"Missed me that much, Bummie?"

"More than you'd think." Key laughed a little and splashed Jonghyun's chest with bubbles.

Jonghyun's only response was to pull him close and kiss him softly.

"I missed being able to do that all the time," as Jonghyun spoke, Key noticed the pink tinge on his cheeks.

"You're blushing, Jonghyun," Key mused.

"What can I say? You turn me into a blushing schoolgirl." Jonghyun could only smile at Key and run his thumb over the back of his hand.

"I know how to fix that," Key mischievously grinned back at Jonghyun, pulling his hand out of the other's grasp.

"Hmm," Jonghyun hummed softly, "I'd like to see you try."

In a second, Key picked up handfuls of bubbles and smeared them onto Jonghyun's face. "From schoolgirl to ahjussi."

Jonghyun snickered and quickly wrapped his arms around Key's waist, pulling him in for another kiss.

In between bubbles and kisses, Jonghun and Key only made it out of the bathtub and into bed after their fingers and toes were pruney and wrinkled.

"From ahjussi to haraboji." Key sleepily mumbled as they laid cuddled against each other, hands intertwined and resting on Jonghyun's chest.

Jonghyun kissed the top of Key's head and whispered, "Just as long as I get to grow old with you."
