i woke up to the painful sound of my alarm. i turn over to shut it off and open my blinds.
"alexa open the blinds." i tap the "stop" button on my alarm.
the blinds slowly open. i noticed it was rainy. a rainy day in illinois. just how i liked it. i got to sit around and do nothing all day. my favorite. i sit up and stretch my body so that it's not sore through out the day. i unplug my phone then pick it up. i open my phone and click on instagram. the first post i see is from my beautiful friend kai. god she is gorgeous, and of course i have to comment that to make sure she knows. "damn how did i get such a beautiful best friend?" after i comment and like i keep scrolling. i soon get very bored. instagram never entertains me, but yet i still have it. i turn off my phone and get out of bed. i set my phone on my end table so i can make my bed.
— after i finish making my bed i grab my phone and walk to the kitchen/living room. i walk over to the couch, turn on the tv and set my phone on coffee table. legally blonde is on. honestly do not understand the hype. i change it to netflix and put it on grey's anatomy. i walk over to the kitchen now and turn on my coffee maker. i put in my favorite coffee blend. i reach up to grab my clear "i <3 nyc" mug. i place it under where the coffee comes and and press brew. i go over to my bread and grab a plain bagel. i bring the bagel over to my toaster oven and put it in. i put it to medium heat so it cooks perfectly. then i go to my fridge and grab strawberry cream cheese. i get a plate down and put it on my breakfast tray. i bend down and grab a serviette and i fold it in half then set it next to my plate. i would normally get silverware but i don't need it today. i go back to grab my coffee and bagel, then prepare them how i want. — after it's all set up how i want i walk back over to the living room and set it on the chaise longue. i go back to the kitchen to clean up my mess a little bit. i walk back over to the couch, sit down and grab my breakfast.
— i finish breakfast and my second cup of coffee i get up and turn off the tv. i walk into my room and go to my closet. i pick out a nice black champion hoodie and some burgundy lulu lemon leggings to go with. i bend down to my dresser drawer for some fluffy socks and a matching bra and thong set. i pick the black laced ones and for socks the ones with cats all over them. i go over to my bookshelf and grab my book "punk 57" as i plan to read in the bath. i grab all my clothes and put my book on top and head for the bathroom. i set my clothes on the counter and take a few seconds to look myself in the mirror. i mess around with my skin and hair a little bit before walking over to the bath tub. i press on the tablet to turn it on and all my usual bath time settings are already right there.
"alexa activate bath time."
red led lights set in and low calming music plays in the background. i click on my regular bath temperature and water starts pouring out of the fossett. i bend into the tub to plug the drain then grab my book and candle. i place them on my bath tray along with a lighter. i always have a cinnamon apple scent to match the vibe of my lights. i go back to the living room to grab my phone then run back to my bathroom. i set my phone down on top of my book then start to strip of my oversized tee, nike shorts, and underwear. i open my vanity drawer and get out a hair clip. i first brush my hair out so it's not so messy, then i put it up. i gently step into the water and slowly sooth in. — after my bath i unplug the drain and blow out my candle. i hear my phone chime. i pick it up to see a message from kai.

now that kai was coming over i had to actually get out of the tub. sense i finished the book i needed to give it to her anyways. she always reads a book after i do. it's kinda our thing. — i get out of the tub once the water was fully drained. i grab the clothes off the floor and throw them in the hamper i keep in my bathroom. then i walk to the counter to grab my clothes. as i'm leaving the bathroom i hear a knock at the door. it most definitely has not been 15 minutes. i quickly throw on a robe and go answer the door. thinking i will see kai, i do not. it was a strange lady with a letter.
"hi, is there something i can help you with?" i hold my robe closed very tight.
"yes so uh i'm just here to let you know that there are a group of rapists in the neighborhood right now and i just wanted to tell you to help you be safe." the lady smiles and walks away.
"thank you!?" i confusedly shut the door and go back to my room.
— after i finish getting ready i head back to the bathroom brush my teeth and do my makeup. i grab my toothbrush from the wall, then i grab the toothpaste from the top of the toothbrush holder. i wet my toothbrush before putting the toothpaste. then i wet it again. — right as i'm finishing my makeup i hear eight knocks each one softer then the next. now that one was kai. on time as always. i set down my chapstick and walk to my front door to let her in.
"shut up you look so pretty nov! i love the subtle look!" kai walks in and immediately walks to my kitchen.
"thank you kai you look beautiful as always." i smile grabbing two wine glasses, already knowing she's grabbing her favorite wine from my collection.
"hey has your mom reached out to you lately? it seems you two are very distant recently." she walks out of my wine cellar with who could have guessed my most expensive red wine. classic kai. she starts trying to open it with a knife
"uh that would be a no. here gimme that you're going to break a nail." i reach for the bottle and get out a cork screw. "you know you are the prettiest dumb blonde i have ever met." i smile as i pull the cork screw out of the bottle.
"i know." she lets out a giggle while taking the bottle out of my hand. "give me those glasses nova please." she gives out one of the sweetest and most innocent smiles i have ever seen on her. suddenly her phone starts ringing. i hand her the bottle.
" you know i love you kai so when i say this know i mean it in the best possible way, but is that your boyfriend?" she pulls out her phone and hits ignore.
"no.. maybe, ok! yes but he's soon to be my ex-boyfriend." she pours us drinks then slides me a glass.
"got it. but i honestly don't see why you ever dated him." i get up and go to my pantry. i grab a bag of popcorn and walk it back out and to my microwave. i put it in and press the popcorn button.
"i thought he loved me. turns out all he wanted was this hot. bod." we both give out laughs. "plus he doesn't like you and we are a package deal." she runs to my couch on sits down.
"have been and will always be." i smile while walking over to join.
— after hours it has stopped raining. me and kai are still hanging out and watching our show. she is on her 3rd bottle of wine. i am barely done with my 2nd glass.
"i'm tired so i'm going to crash in your bed. love you goodnight." she gets up and basically almost falls over. i wave goodnight.
"sleep well babe." i get up and start cleaning up the mess. soon after i have cleaned up almost all of mine and kai's mess i hear my phone buzz. like an alert buzz.
ALERT THERE IS 3 RAPISTS GOING AROUND ILLINOIS BE CAREFUL. THEY HAVE BEEN SPOTTED 3 TIMES THIS MORNING!!
hm so the lady wasn't crazy. normally i would be scared but this shit happens like ever other month, so i'm used to it by now. they spot something new every week. watch out for this. be careful of that. i mean seriously can't a girl live?
