How Lucky I Thought I'd Never Be

Kathlyn Campbell is a girl who pretty much was like you a year ago. You could've totally relate to her life and it was very identical to yours!

She went to school like most 15 year olds do, she had a bunch of friends, Mia, who was the closest to her, Sophia, Abigail, and Emily.

They had their adventures and they were best buds. They also went out on most weekends. Never were they out of speech, it used to come naturally, they had problems and they have always helped each other find the perfect solution! She also befriended almost everyone.

Kathlyn was always the kind of girl that would think big and act stupid. She always did retarded stuff but she's fun. People knew her as the kind and nice girl. Every once in a while she would sing her lungs out to get rid of the tears and untold stories.

She was always bored and wished if something could change her life, to the better of course. She always had fun though with her friends and family but when she lays her head on the pillow, she made up scenarios of things she wishes would happen, and that includes traveling around the world and knowing new people.

She was never into competition shows like America's Got Talent and such stuff. But for once she was bored, flipping through the channels, to find The Voice on. Singing along to the songs, a guy comes up and starts singing, she listens only since she didn't know the lyrics of that song.

The guy's voice impresses her, it was really fascinating! She starts listening carefully, hearing every letter. To her surprise only 2 chairs were turned!

They asked the guy about his name and it was Adam Rogers. "Wow, he sure seems very cute!" But soon enough she forgets about it.

*three weeks later*

She was watching a comedy series with her family and The Voice commercial show up. It was the Battle time, he showed on the commercial and she couldn't help not taking her eyes off the screen!

His turn was on the weekend, so she gathered up her friends and they had popcorn and turned on the tv. When his turn came up, she started blushing. Listening and watching carefully, every word and every move!

He WON! She was really happy, and in her head, balloons were everywhere, a celebration! She tried to remain silent and not give her opinion to her friends, instated, she heard theirs. Some were positive and some were negative, but she didn't mind, she was happy for the night.

She went to sleep with hope to dream about him. Waking up, she realizes she didn't dream, "Dreams will come on later." And she gets off her bed.

"Today must differ!" She said to herself.

She calls up her friends and tells them to meet her at the mall in two hours. She asks her parents and they drop her there. All her friends came. In excitement she exclaims, "Come on! Today is gonna be fun! What do you guys wanna do first?!"

Shopping is what they chose. They went through a couple of shops but they had no luck finding something to be bought. They then headed to the food court. Some ate and some insisted on having ice cream first. Kathlyn was supporting ice cream. And so they had to talk and joke as usual. They truly had so mush fun. She calls her parents when they were ready to go home. "Bye," she said as she waved her friends goodbye.

She was still in a good mood when she went home. An idea popped into her mind, " He obviously has Facebook!" She wanted to try he luck, she searched and found his account! "Yes!" She said in excitement, "Let me try my luck again and see if my friendship request gets accepted."

In approximately 6 hours, her phone notifies her, "Adam Rogers accepted your friend request, write on Adam's wall."

She must've been dreaming but lucky her, it was true. Kathlyn went all around Facebook liking his official page, another couple of pages that post his news, and joining two of his groups. "That should probably get me all the news I need about him," she said.

*A week later*

She goes scrolling throw her newsfeed, finding nothing. "It's been a while now, let me check his official group," she said. The admin of the group posted a picture, it had all the information about him. He was Virgo. Just like Kathlyn! A girl commented on that image saying, "The same zodiac sign!" She was surprised and commented, "Me too!!"

The same girl commented back, "Greaaat :D <3" Kathlyn commented again, " :DD <3 <3" they both started chatting on the picture. The girl's name was Caroline Rupert. Kathlyn sent Caroline a friend request before she notices it, Caroline accepted it.

They started messaging each other. They had a lot in common. They were both Virgo's. They were both in 9th grade although there was one year as an age gap. Following that day, they started talking everyday. They both were in different countries, Caroline was in Spain while Kathlyn was in France. They weren't from the countries they lived in. Through the studies, they managed to talk a lot. They didn't realize it, but they spent too much time together having fun making up scenarios about meeting Adam Rogers...!
