December 2010 London, England
The bustling streets of London paid no mind to the dark figure gracefully jumping over their heads. The figure in question had one place in mind, the Tower of London. Cloaked by the darkness of night the figure sat atop a nearby hotel, overlooking the historic building, completely still- like a statue.
As snow began to fall daintily from the sky, the statuesque figure glanced down at their watch, seeing the numbers 22:59, the time had come for their biggest challenge yet. Taking out one of the homemade contraptions they shot a reinforced wire to the closest tower and connected it to the wall behind them, using this line they zip lined over, unseen, all the guards distracted by the shift change. The figure reaches the end of the line, and flips themselves up, landing silently on the walkway, they move forward, having already memorised the layout of the ancient sight. Moving with caution they remained unseen but when reaching the vault they needed, a problem arose, four armed guards stood talking, the figure pressed themselves against the wall, looking up, when they noticed a vent. With a push of their legs the figure was able to open the vent and slide in, closing the vent to remain unfound and without raising suspicion they shimmied along through the squared pipe to the next opening directly above the four chatting guards. An electrical buzz could be heard and suddenly all the lights went out.
A man suddenly turned around from where he was inspecting some beautiful jewellery that sat on top of high-class clothes, the beeping alerting him to the screen which was focused on the same four guards, he saw that all the lights had been turned off so rushed over to the laptop and switched the camera to night-vision, what he saw had him in awe. A figure dropping from the vent, landing silently on the floor in the centre of the quadrant of guards unaware that they were being watched, the dark figure then, still crouched, span with his leg out tripping one of the guards before jumping up and kicking their legs fast and hard into the next guards head, effectively knocking him out, leaving a guard still on the floor and two more shouting at their colleagues, trying to figure out what was happening, when suddenly one of them began to choke, the figure had launched themselves into the air and wrapped their thighs around the guards neck, then leaning back the figure put their arms around the adjacent guards neck and twisted their lithe body flipping themselves and the two guards to the floor. The final guard stood back up, slightly dazedly to be kicked back down again by a hard foot to the chest.
The man observing this quickly picked up his phone and dialled a number which was answered after two rings "what's up Barton?", a slow, husky woman voice rang through the speaker.
"Nat, I found him. I've got to bring him in" the man , 'Barton' said before looking back to the camera where he could now see the figures walking out carrying a crown, the queen of Englands crown.
After carefully stuffing the crown into a bag the figure began a slow walk back to their home in Bow, using the surrounding buildings roofs to avoid unnecessary attention. Reaching their home the figure noticed a light on in one of the widows and decided that using a back window was a safer option. Upon entering their home they came face-to-face with a man, older than themselves, sat in his chair.
