Nico's POV to switch it up a bit. Actually you guys tell me who you want it narrated by. I am trying to make everything I write going forward one: more grammatically and spelling correct,(Jeese rereading this and don't even get me started on Select Quotes has never been so painful.) and two: more in character. I have done a lot of deep character study on a lot of them and hope that I'm not too bad in my past stuff, but I know I throw personality to the wind in favor of humor. I'll fix that going forward. I will use actual dashes I promise. Stupid punctuation confusion with it's mind boggling rules with exceptions. I hate English! Grumble grumble...
"— if you would just here me out—"
"That is unnecessary."
"This whole fiasco was completely unnecessary!"
"I's sorry, but if someone could just—"
"Silence! All of you are acting like children! Shut up, get your act together and lets continue like civilized people so we can get out of here!"
Annabeth puts an end to the chaos that plagued the room. Oh few. That was getting continuously more out of control and running in circles at the same time. I'm not so dumb as to step in between Percy and Thalia, but that doesn't mean that Annabeth harbors my sense of self preservation. Well I can't confidently say I've got that covered either, but I can say I wouldn't go out in such a dishonorable manner. Personally I would like to be executed publicly for a good cause. Preferably painlessly. Martyr always seemed the most noble way to go. Believe me I've studied all sorts of manor of death.
"I'm sorry, my lord; I take full responsibility for making a mess of our meeting, but can you blame us? We fight like you do out of instinct that you integrated," Percy argued. He has a point through, yet I would like to argue that I was not confrontational. Not in front of Will I ain't.
"Oh enough of this. Apollo I have known of my daughter's being here for some time now and what you are doing. Please, no matter how begrudgingly it comes, if our assistance, in any way, is requested, we will oblige to the best of our abilities. That goes for the rest of you! Now, please, severe explanations are in order I believe."(Plot hole fixed spectacularly I think. Not shocked about her, La Rue, but what she stands for.)
"Wow, that went well," Apollo managed.
"We aren't out of the woods yet, father," Will says as he steps forward to offer his best shot at an adequate, simplified, not panic striking explanation.
"So basically your reign was threatened twice—"three"—and, wait what?! Not another war. Ugg. Ok, let me rephrase that. There's three wars in your upcoming future whether you like it or not," Will sighs at being interrupted yet again.
"You know I don't think our not subtle turn of fate is going to be very good. We literally destroyed the whole last half of the prophecy," Percy frets. Is that not exactly what I have been trying to get you to understand? No? No credit? Fine.
"What do you mean? You can't nullify a prophecy no matter what you do," the past Apollo points out. Not that he needed to explain. I've already tried. Maybe they'll actually listen to him though, he is the god of prophecies after all.
"What happens if people predict things they see in their future, and then the future violently rips them out of it?" Thalia is not being to subtle here now is she?
"Wait, back up? Who or what are we talking about here? I'm not following," mia amata sorella exclaims.
Well I can't leave her hanging now can I? "The first great prophecy was very Greek to say the least. I'm not even sure you all were told it, or read it, as you do. The gist of it was that Percy over here was going to have a huge choice happen on his sixteenth birthday. It wasn't his choice though; it was Luke Castellan's to kill himself with Annabeth's cursed blade, or kill Percy. Simple choice for a tortured, broken, suicidal kid right? Basically giving fancy rhyming couplets to explain the battle of Manhattan.
