Night in the fall. A cold breeze. The smell of leaves and rain. One rooftop. Two untied shoes. One lonely straight girl.

Her damp h/c hair blew gently in the wind and she tugged her hands into her wet f/c hoodie sleeves. Her e/c eyes studied the stars. A deep mysterious pool could be found in her orbs, hiding big and small secrets. Her shoelaces held secrets too.

Some say she was quiet and shy like a rabbit. Or mysterious and sneaky like a cat. Others say she's cunning and sly like a raven.

This girl preferred to think of herself as a lone wolf. Not quite a follower and often a leader. Brave, smart, daring, and sometimes shy. Not needing anyone except herself. Yet, still ever so lonely.

She came out here often, the climb not as difficult now with how easy it became routine. It was her quiet place. Her space to think and be herself. Her safe space.

So the lone wolf sat, looking at the moon with her silent lone howl.

This was how it always had been for you.
