CHAPTER 7 - GAMBLING HEARTS

Don't be dramatic it's only some plastic. No one will love you if you're unattractive.

          I decide to follow the two girls since they looked suspicious. The way they sneaked around warned me they were up to something. I walk close behind them silently. They stop at a place where people are gambling where I see Sevika. The girl with red hair seems to be getting angry.
        I watch as the girl and Sevika fight eachother. The girl says something that finally peeks my interest. "Where is my sister?!"
"You mean Jinx? She's working for Silco now."
         The girls eyes widen in horror at Sevikas words. They don't even look like siblings. Some more stuff happens but I don't care that much. I end up just walking away and continue on my way. I ponder if I should tell Jinx that I saw her sister today.
I decide against it since it's not my business to deal with. I make it back to my place and fall onto my bed. Sighing loudly, I rest my eyes for a little bit. After about 5 minutes I hear commotion from downstairs. Of course they are home right now. My parents can be heard having a conversation about god knows what.
         I don't want to talk to my parents but I'm not sure how I can get out without them knowing. I could go out of my window, maybe I could do some gambling myself... Grabbing a bag and stuffing whatever I need in there, I jump out of the window in my room and head out.
          The casino isn't too far from the house so it won't take me long to get there. It takes me about 10 minutes to reach it. I take a butterfly knife out of my pocket and twirl it around my finger. Entering the place my eyes set on a specific blue-haired beauty. What is she doing here...? Our eyes catch eachother and the world seems to stop. We get lost in eachother and I watch as she smirks coming up to me.
          "Wow Cutie I didn't know you would be here~" she purrs giving me lovesick eyes. I grow flustered and look away from eye contact. "You're so embarrassing psycho..." I grumble quietly. The only thing she does in response is wink at me in which I return with an eye roll. Damn flirt.
          I head over to some machines and played around for a while. With my knife still twirling around my finger, I win most of the plays and win a couple hundreds. Suddenly I feel a hand on my shoulder which shocks me. Before I even realize it whoever touch me had my butterfly knife to their neck.
          My head looks up to see the identity of this stranger. Blue braids caught my attention and I figure out that this stranger is the one and only Jinx. She looks shock before it turns into a chershire grin. "Dang cutie your reflexes are good~" Jinx compliments putting her face closer to mine. The knife presses into her neck more which causes a little bit of  blood leaks.
          I quickly take the knife off her neck before anymore damage is done. "Don't sneak up on me like that dumbass, you could've gotten hurt," I snap at her. She gives me her famous grin while I glare at her. Jinx's smile falters and I stare in confusion. She starts putting her face closer to me until our lips are practically touching.
          My face grows hot and I look down at her lips. What is happening... Before I even realize it she gives me a peck on the cheek and backs away. "What the fuck was that for huh?!" I remark but in a soft tone. Again the only thing she does is wink at me before she starts walking away. I just stare at her longingly, wondering what just happened.

"What are you doing to me Jinx..."

It's been a hot minute since I've updated this. Im so sorry I had a huge writers block and did not know what to write. School has kept me busy but I promise I'll start posting frequently again. Anyways thank you guys for 1k+ reads and I love you guys <3
