3rd person pov:
It was another boring day at Crossland High School for Rodrick Heffley, it was 7th period and he was counting down the minutes until he could go home and work on new music with his band mates. he lounged in his chair tapping a thin pencil against the desk, staring at the clock, uninterested in the lesson going on in front of him.
oh, how he hated math class. it wasn't that he didn't understand the concept of most of his assignments, he did, but he believed there was no point in learning math or anything else in the school if he's gonna get big with his band! ( great mindset, right?) Well, that resulted him in failing most of his classes, worst grade being this very class, math.
His teachers never held high expectations for him, but his math teacher thought he should try at least once.
the bell rang, the sweet relief of school being over washed over the students as they poured out of classrooms. Rodrick swung his backpack around his shoulder and walked towards the door. "Students, you have finals soon! please study! oh, Rodrick! i'd like to talk to you please"
He groaned as he walked over to his teachers desk. "what is it Mr. Sparks?" His teacher sat down behind his desk and began "As you know, finals are in about a month. You really don't have good grades, Rodrick! i'm just trying to help you..." Rodrick blocked out his math teacher going on a tangent about his effort in school. he really didn't give a fuck about his grades, or anything in school for that matter. "...which is why i'm assigning you a tutor."
now THAT grabbed his attention. "a what now?" He didn't need some nerd nagging him about his homework everyday. " a tutor! you know she's really not that bad! she's a very nice and smart girl so she should be able to help you get in shape in time for finals. think of it more as a... study buddy."
