"Sweety! You need to leave for school! Otherwise you will be late!"

A boy with blonde hair (more yellow) and a black bolt sighs loudly clearly don't wanna go to school. Even tho he is fully clothed and has he finished everything, he always tried to stay aslong as he can at home.

He has his reasons, also reasons why he doesn't tell his parents those reasons.

He was in his thoughts, passing the living room while mumbling a bye to his parents. As he opened the door he heard his mother coughing, making him stand still and turning around.

"Aren't you forgetting something sweetheart?", she asked with her normal high voice and her genuinely smile.

Unlike her son she had blue hair and pink eyes, she still looked very young. At first sight you would think that she has a normal life.

Sadly it isn't like that. If you look better you can see that she's too skinny and her clothes are too short. Too old and almost worn. That is also how her son looks. Skinny and looking empty.

But no matter what you think, he loves her, she might be poor but is the sweetest mother you can wish for.

"I don't know..," he answered, more mumbly but he still answered.

The woman opens her right hand, showing a diamond, shaped in a rhombic form.

"Oh-", the boy answered, taking the diamond out of her hand. He places it on his forehead, slightly smiling at his mother.

"Thanks mom.." and with that he leaves.

The boy walks over street with his hands in his pockets. It's snowing and the temperature is very cold, cold enough to freeze. He knows that well enough. The boy only wears a shirt with long sleeves and a cape, both of a thin fabric. He's shivering like crazy but he is used to it.

He feels the earplugs in his pockets, along with his phone, making him smile slightly. You might wonder how he even got this. Simple, it was his birthday present from his friends from last year. He tried to decline it but one of them said if he didn't took it he kill him so he ended up taking it.

He takes them out of his pockets, putting the earplugs in his phone and ears, listening to his music. Calming the boy down while he continues to walk his usually route to school.

His favorite song  started playing, making him hum along with it.

Author's note: for the ones who want to know, its called "alone" from Nico Collins since this suits by him from in the story and I like this song. Its also the song that you can find above this story.

10 minutes far from his school, still humming on his favorite song while crossing the road, you can tell that that isn't a great idea but the boy didn't even realize what he was doing.

It happened, in the middle of the street, some of his sort and age were cutting the ropes off from the the cart with the old tree trunks of more than 2 meters long.

The cart stood on a hill and when the persons finished cutting the ropes the tree trunks fell out the cart, rolling down to the street were the boy was walking. He didn't hear the laughter of the teenagers who have cut the ropes, neither didn't he hear the tree trunks coming down, to his way. His music too loud.

You just know it'll be his death, his last breath, his last step on the asphalt. His fate is decided...

That's what those kids thought atleast. Ten meter was the tree trunk away from him and he was in the middle of the street. At this moment the tree trunk came into his eyesight but it is too late for him to run away, or to spread his wings and fly up, even tho it's forbidden for teenagers to use their wings.
