3 ♡︎A Two Faced Friend (Literally)

    The distant giggles and screams of children played in the background. My eyes slowly opened to the dim room I was in. "Wait.. Where am I??? " I screamed in my head. I sat up quickly and looked around at the strange environment. "Whose bed am I sleeping on?" I whispered to myself. "And it's disgusting in here!" The room was full of dirt and black stuff all over the floors, walls, and ceiling. I have no idea what it is and I don't think I want to know. I whimpered at the smell. I sat up and looked around for sun. A few more children's screams brought me up some stairs and a small wooden balcony. I peaked over and watched Sun play with all the children in the daycare and pick up after them. I giggled at his annoyance of the mess the kids would make. "Ha-ha, so the clean freak doesn't mind his own mess?" I whispered to myself. "Like I'm any better" I thought and pulled myself away from the edge and walked back to the bed. I looked around once more for an exit. "I need to clean this mess, but first, I need to find some cleaning supplies."
I walked through the door in the room and down the long hallway to meet another door. Walking through leading me to a children's theater. "Now to find a bathroom."
I made my way down a small flight of stairs to the main floor of the theater. I walked through a rainbow doorway out to the waiting area around the daycare. I tried to blend in with the other people there and eventually found my way to a bathroom. "Huh, would you look at this, " I said to myself quitely. Some cleaning supplies with a mop and broom lay on the floor. "How convenient." I used my time in the bathroom to clean myself up a bit with what I could and made my way back up to Sunrise's room with the supplies.

       "Now where to start?" I hummed as I decide to clean up the floor first. Moving things up to the balcony and sweeping everything under it all. I mopped everything down and scrubbed anything that refused to come off. After a few minutes of struggling to scrub all the black stuff off, the lights went off. Immediately a low scream rang from Sun and his voice became low and dark. "Naughty children, naughty children. You all are supposed to keep the lights on! It's not nap time yet!" The moon creature stated kindly. My head swung in the direction of all the noise as my body filled with panic. I quickly ran over to the balcony, worried of what might be happening. I looked down as Moon talked to the children and told them to turn on the lights. One ran over to a button and thankfully the lights came back one. "BAD BAD BAD! You broke the #1 Rule! You are banned from the daycare!! " Sun said as he picked up the child who turned off the lights and hauled them out of the door. He slammed the door and turned back around with his cheerful mood returned " Now who wants to play with some glitter glue?" All the kids screamed with glee as they all ran after him. The whole scene confused me and I noted to ask him about it later. I turned back around and got back to my cleaning process.

                ~Time Skip~

     "Finally" I said with exhaustion. I was able to get off the black stains and clean the entire room. I sighed and fell back onto the bed. I took one last look at my success before noticing a black curtain I had cleaned around. I lifted myself  back up and walked over to the drape before lifting it to reveal a tunnel to another room. Seeing the black stain covering the room made me groan before I got back to cleaning each inch of the small room. I found small notes and drawings here or there which showed me another side of the sun. One that was lonley, stuck, and maybe abandoned. My heart resonated with his as I knew the feeling even thought it was new. But this mess, it wasn't from ignorance, it was from a deep loss and depression. It felt so opposite from him. I needed to talk to him as soon as he comes back up here.

                 ~Time Skip~

      I had finally finished cleaning both rooms an looked around in approval. "Mom would be proud" I smiled softly and sat back down on the bed and waited for Sun. As soon as the thought head entered my mind, Sunrise jumped onto the balcony and all I could hear was a loud and long gasp as it slowly turned into a squeal. I couldn't help but smile at his excitement. "Thank you thank you thank you!!" He said as he picked me up and spun us in circles. I laughed at his cheerfulness. He set me down and looked me in the eye. "Thank you," he said softly, whipping away his invisible robot tears. "You're welcome goofball" I said, patting his head lightly. He hugged me tightly one last time before we sat on his bed. We sat in a happy but short silence just looking at my work. "H-hey um sunrise... I have a question" I murmured, and looked up to him "is it about the lights going off?" He asked softly. I nodded in response "thought so. I wanted to come up to you as soon as the lights came back on but... you're not really supposed to be here. " I looked away in guilt "let me explain it to you-" he started before my stomach loudly growled. I looked back at him with a guilty laugh "OMG! You haven't eaten!!!! " He said loudly with worry. He picked me up and jumped off the balcony and hushed me as we exited the door. "Mission "Raid the theater snack bar" is a go! " He said softly as we ran into the theater.

I am going to have to end this here. Ahhhhh. I'll keep going for a while if I don't stop myself ha-ha. Anyway- hope y'all liked this new chapter and have a wonderful day/night 🌸 (also! Moon is only evil because he was hacked. Originally there a theories that assume he is there to supervise the children at nap time. I decided to go with this)
