Chapter 2

Colbie's pov

"Hey babe." Liam greeted from behind me. I laughed to myself as I ruffled his hair, making it stick up at all these weird angles. "Babe?" I questioned him while raising an eyebrow. He just laughed and threw one of his muscular arms around my shoulders. "I heard about your terrible encounter with THE famous, Alex Lawrence, earlier."

"How?!?! That happened not even two hours ago!!" I screamed at him, slamming my locker shut. Liam just smiled at me. He tightened his grip around my shoulders as we walked down the cluttered hallway. 

"You know how fast news spread around this school but hey. Atleast you don't ramble on as frequently as you used to." he said, grinning. I slapped his rock hard chest, only to quickly pull it back. It was supposed to hurt him, not me!!

"Ow." I mumbled, rubbing my hand. "Psch, thats what you think Liam. I've been rambling atleast three times during first period. Not to mention, my rambling in my head aswell!!!" I confessed to him. I looked around the hallway, noticing more than enough people looking at me with amusemant. Great. Rumours do spread around like wild fire here. But why are they staring at me like that? Is it because of what happened with me and Alex this morning or was is just me being late as always? 

"You know, I can alway drive you to school in the mornings if you want?" Liam offered. "So you won't be late?" We continued to walk down the hallways. I was about to reply when a hand firmly grabbed my arm. 

"YOU LET ALEX LAWRENCE TOUCH  YOU!!" Jess, another close friend of mine, shrieked out. She was another one of my friends, in my little group. It consisted of me, Liam, Jess, Steffie and Bree.

"He what now?" Liam asked, dropping his arm from my shoulders. Obviously, he heard about my rambling with Alex but not my rambling with her about my personal bubble.

"Y-yeah, I'll explain later, after we get out food." I said. Even though I was slightly nervous, I never seemed to ramble when I'm near my close friends. Liam just gave me a confused look before walking off to our usual lunch spot. Our table was in the back of the cafeteria, near the windows. It was a secluded area to put it simply.

I got in the crowded lunch line, Jess still holding onto my wrist, cutting off my blood circulation. We were near the end of the line, so it meant that I had plenty of time explaining about my little incident with Alex. 

"Spill it." she said. She finally loosened her death grip on my arm, allowing it to drop back to my side. 

"Well..you probably heard about my rambling in first period because of me being late." she nodded.

"Yes, but thats not what I want to know. I want to know what the heck this is." she said, her voice rising slightly. She pulled her phone out her pocket and went to her facebook. After some time scrolling, she showed her phone to me. On her screen, there was a picture of me and Alex. Her hands were around my waist and it looked like she was kissing me on the cheek. 

"Who took this?" I asked her, scrolling through the comments. Whoever posted it, didn't bother tagging me....or Alex.

"Who do you think?" she asked, eyeing me. I handed her phone back, my hands immediatly turning into fists.

"Andy.." I muttered. "What a fucking dick!! He's the one who cheated on me and now he's acting all jealous by posting a picture of me and Alex!!"I screamed out in frustration. "I didn't even want him to touch me!! He kept invading my space!!" 

"Colbie..calm down. Don't start a scene.." Jess said calmly, gesturing to all the people who turned their heads at my direction. I sighed, nodding my head.

"Lets go back to our table." I mumbled, not bothering with food anymore. I walked off, Jess trailing not far behind me. I can't believe that Andy would go down that low and do that to me. I knew he was a jerk and all but I really didn't expect this from him. The caption in the picture just added the hate I have towards him, even more. 'Oh look. Colbie and her new girlfriend. What a dyke! I won't be surprised when he decides to hurt you just like all the other girls. Then, you'll come crawling back to me.' is what the caption read. That boy is starting to get under my skin; and to think I spent six months of my life dating him..how pathetic! I would never 'crawl' back to him and I haven't spoken to Alex since today...unless you count me bumping into her numerous times in the hall when I'm running late. Yeah..I'm a klutz.

I sat down on the table, next to Steffie who was sitting across from Liam. They were both eating their lunch.

"Why aren't you eating Colbs? And why are you such in a pissy mood?" Steffie asked innocently. I rolled my eyes at her. Knowing her, she probably knew already.

"Haven't you heard about her little incident?" Liam asked her curiously.

"No..what happened Colbs?" Steffie asked again, turning to face me. "And explain right from the begining please."

"Alex Lawrence happened." I answered smugly, crossing my arms. "Then, Andy happened.That dickhead." I muttered out the last part but I'm pretty sure everyone on the table heard me.

"Details?" Steffie asked, as it it was a question.

"Long story short, I was late for class again....and I got a detention!!" I complained to them. Liam's eyes widened.

"Well well. Is Miss Goody-goody finally turning bad?" he joked, winking at me. I rolled my eyes and continued to tell my little story.

"So, there was only one seat left in the class and that was infront of Alex, so I had to sit there. Everything was going on fine until she decided to put her hands around my waist  so she could whisper something in my ear. Naturally, I turned around to face her and started to ramble on about how he can't touch me because of my personal bubble." This earned a laugh from my friends. "Then I told him to respect my personal bubble and then I thought I was thinking it but I actually said, 'Oh my god, I bet I just put myself on her death list.' out loud." I said, probably a bit too fast to comprehend but I think they all heard me. Jess and Steffie just stared at me with blank faces while Liam was just laughing his ass off, clutching onto his stomach for dear life.

"Thats my girl." he said, in between laughs. Jess smacked him for me.

"Shut up."

"But Alex never touch a girl in the middle of the class before...why do it to you?"Steffie asked me curiously. I shrugged my shoulders. I'm pretty sure she's touched many girls in the middle of the class...but I could be wrong.

I looked around the cafeteria and saw her. She was sitting on the other side of the cafeteria, laughing along with her friends. I saw that she was also looking at my direction and winked at me before turning back to her friends. 

Why did that simple gesture make my heart race? All she did was wink at me...now I know how other girls felt like. No Colbie. She couldn't have been winking at you. There are plently of other girls in her sight, so he wouldn't be looking at me.

I pushed all my thoughts to the side and joined in with the new conversation Jess started.

"So who's going to the basketball game after school? Steffie? Colbie?" Jess asked. I only shook my head in response.

"I have detention." I gulped but Jess knew that even if you have detention, you could still make it to the game. I guess she already knew why I didn't want to come. I didn't want to see Andy play. He was the captain of the basketball team and he would be getting a lot of attention. 

"I have to go," I mumbled, standing up. I knew Jess wasn't trying to make me sad delibrately but it just happened. Despite their protests, I quickly grabbed my back pack and went out the door. When I was on the field, I sat down on the grass, putting my head in my hands. 

"I hope I can get it through the rest of the day." I mumbled to myself.
