A month later

Phoebe was out fighting a villain in metroburg and max decided to stay home to take care of the twins since his mom and dad took Nora, billy, and chloe to splatburger. Max had a strange feeling but he ignored it.
Axel: where is mom?
Max: Remember how your mom is a superhero? Well she is out fighting a villain in metroburg

Axel and London had already developed their superpowers. They can control the weather. They don't have much control over it now so it depends on their emotions but when they are older they will be able to control it.
Max thought he might know what the strange feeling was. He thought it might be that she is fighting crime a while away and could get hurt. But that wasn't it.

Max looked at his phone. It's 7 pm. Max was worried because she had left at 3. He family came through the door with burgers and ice cream. Max quickly said "Take care of the twins" and ran out. Max hopped in the thunder van. His thunder twin sense was another thing he had and it was going off like crazy.
Max: damnit. Something must have happened
He was almost to metroburg. One day he pranked phoebe by putting a tracker on her super suit. He had never been so glad to pull a prank. After that's she put one on him too but he didn't know that.
He finally reached metroburg and all he had to do was make a couple of turns and he would be where Phoebe was.
He stopped and jumped out of the thunder van. All he seen was a collapsed building and a few parts that looked like it was being held up by something.
Max: PHOEBE!! ARE YOU HERE?
Phoebe mumbled but he heard it and knew it was her right away. Those few parts that looked like were being held up by something were on top of Phoebe. They were heavy too.
Max started running her way using his telekinesis to get everything off of her. As soon as he saw her, he had tears rolling down his cheeks.  He couldnt believe what he saw. He picked Phoebe up and held her. Phoebe: I- I d-did it. She said softly
Max: shhh
Phoebe passed out. Max didn't know if she would wake up again or not. He dialed 911 quickly then called his parents. Max was lucky his dad always varies pillows and blankets in the van. He used his telekinesis to bring them towards him. He put a pillow under phoebes bleeding head and put a blanket over her broken body. Her head was bleeding and so was her nose. She had bruises on her face and wear her costume ripped their were bruises and cuts everywhere. Max didn't wanna look but he couldn't take his eyes off her. Her costume was ripped on her arms, stomach, and legs not to much on the arms but on her stomach their were many rips, some small some large.
Electris and thunderman came in flying literally. And then when they were there the ambulance came. Max held her hand that's looked broken gently.

In the hospital

Max: I don't care what they say or what you say. I'm going in their with her!
Barb: you can't hunn-
Max: NO THAT IS MY TWIN SISTER! THE BETTER HALF OF ME AND IF SHE GOING  THROUGH SOMETHING SO AM I!
He ran into the room with her

They let him stay in there during surgery since it was his twin.
As soon as it was over he handed max a note.
Doctor: I found something. I think she wrote it to you before the fight
Max read the note. It said

Hi max this is your best friend/twin! I know the villain I'm about to fight is powerful. If I don't make it I want you to know you were always the better half. Please tell everyone I love them. I didn't wanna leave my kids even though there only 2 months old. I love you max. You know that right? I always have I just don't show it. I really hope I make it but if I don't please move on. I'm sorry. We said that if we go down then we go down together but this might be my time. I love you max

Max starts to cry.
Max runs all the way outside the hospital and lets out a painful scream. He loves his sister and can't stand to see her like that. He dropped to his knees and cried.
Inside with barb and hank

Barb: was that max that screamed
Hank: I don't know I'll-
Doctor comes out*
She is in a coma. She might be in the coma for a while or maybe only a few weeks. We don't think she will die but there is a chance.
Hank: ok thank you
Barb: we appreciate everything

They found max outside sitting on the ground.
Hank: are you ok?
Barb: she is in a coma but-
Max: let's just go
