Never in my life have I ever tasted anything more delicious. I bite back down into the burger, savoring every flavor and every taste it had to give me. It might've been just because I haven't eaten a hot meal in awhile, but this was the best burger I've ever had. I had almost forgotten how much I liked them. I didn't even bother to pick off the lettuce and tomato!

"Slow down there, Hay, you're gonna yack," Cj warns with a slight laugh before taking another sip of his beer.

"Yacking is the least of my problems, my friend," I say back to Cj before taking another bite. CJ and I have been sitting at the bar at Big Larry's for almost over 2 hours now. It was just hitting 10 and let's just say, we both have had a few too many drinks so far. Cj's choice of poison was beer obviously, and mine was 3 manhattans and a mojito. The last mojito was probably a mistake. "Did we forget to order curly fries?!" I question Cj and he shrugs his shoulders as he continues to laugh at my drunk mannerisms. "I can't believe we forgot to order curly fries!"

"I think you've had enough to eat and drink for one night, Hay. You've already eaten two burgers, plus you're finishing off mine."

I glare at him. "Are you fat shaming me?" I question him with my mouth full of burger.

"No, I'm just confused about how your tiny body can manage to consume that much?" he digresses.

I swallow the last bite of the burger. "Fast metabolize?" I answered his question with a question. The barkeep comes up to us and takes away our now empty trays before handing Cj another beer.

"So...tell me, screwed the neighbor yet?" Cj asks bluntly with a playful grin before taking a sip of his fresh beer and I almost choke as I sip on my own drink.

"I have no idea what you're talking about," I say to him as I look away from his direction to hide the slight redness on my pale face.

"No, ma'am, you're not gonna avoid this that easily. I saw the way you were staring at his door and the women that came out of it. Or I guess the women that was thrown out of it."

I bite the inside of my cheek as I think for a moment. How am I supposed to explain to Cj the reason why I was acting so weird? Oh yeah, Cj, I basically saved my hot ass, rude ass neighbor's life and he repays me by keeping me up every night by banging anything that's blonde within a two mile radius.

"He's just a dick, that's all. He has some new chick every night and let's just say he doesn't exactly seem to be very...gentle in the bedroom," I tell him. Cj wiggles his brows at my words and I roll my eyes. "Not that I care," I added after his obnoxious eyebrow wiggling.

"You're jealoussssss," he mocks me with a little dance while pointing at me. I slap his pointed finger out of my face with a scoff.

"Yeah right," I laughed before downing the rest of my mojito. "It's just annoying is all. Y'know it wouldn't hurt to show a little neighborly hospitality."

"Is that right?" Cj says to me with a cheeky grin, looking at me as if this is the best tea he's sipped all year.

I squint my eyes even harder now, one because he's frustrating me and two because the room is now slightly starting to spin. Yep. Last mojito was definitely a mistake. "This conversation is over," I tell him before hopping down off the barstool and he follows.

Cj leaves as soon as he drops me back off at my apartment. I try to convince him to come in for a little longer, mostly because I was dreading the daunting task of trying to fall asleep but also because I was drunk and even though I'm drunk, I never want the party to end. Sadly though, he had to head back to his place because apparently his puppy Milo has worms or something gross like that and he won't stop shitting all over the place. I don't really know, I was too hammered to pay attention to anything Cj was telling.
