Aachen, Germany
Emma and Zussman park their jeep at a supply stop and get out of their vehicle. Up ahead, Zussman catches Turner and Pierson in a heated argument. Emma grabbed Zussman's arm and pulls him past the two angry Soldiers.
Aiello carries an envelope over to Red and drops it on a crate that Daniels is carrying. "Hey, found this lyin' around. It's from your girl."
Red seemed annoyed. "Thought I told you not to go through my things."
Emma and Zussman walk over to Red and Aiello, looking at the envelope.
Aiello shrugged. "See the address? She wrote "Daniels", not "Red". Only one reason to be so formal. Hate to say it. I think she's cutting you loose. Or hey, maybe it's like Schrodinger's letter. You know? You don't open it, she's still your girl."
Daniels walks away with the crate and letter. Emma slaps Stiles in the back of his helmet.
"Maybe, it's just liek Schrodinger's letter'...What's wrong with you?" Emma said.
"What?!"
Turner walks up to them, clearly enraged by his previous argument with Pierson. He started screaming. "Quit screwing around! We hit the State Theater at 0730 tomorrow." He then walks away, leaving the squad silent.
Zussman whistles. "Everybody's got their limits. Everybody."
October 18
Turner yells at the squad. "Let's go, let's go!"
"Come on, Red!"
Red follows Pierson to a sandbag emplacement, but trips and falls. Emma reaches over the emplacement and grabs Daniels' hand.
"I got ya, Brother." Emma helps Daniels' over the emplacement with the rest of the squad.
"Everybody pipe down and let me think, goddamn it!" Turner screamed at them.
"SIR, WE DON'T HAVE TIME TO THINK!" Emma yelled back.
"Alright, Daniels, Red and Aiello go with Pierson and call it in. Move! Covering fire!"
"Alright, let's go! Daniels, get to the field phone!" Pierson shouted at them.
Red makes his way over to the field phone by a building and starts using it. Pierson slides over to Red.
"Red, phone!" Pierson yells.
Red hands phone over, "Here ya go, Sarge!"
Turner and the rest of the squad rally up. "Alright, Perez is going to hold position at the theater to cover our flank. We need to push towards the Hotel Allendorf without armored support. Let's move."
The squad moves out towards the hotel.
Emma took out her binoculars. "I got eyes on the hotel. No troops on the balcony. Not seeing 'em anywhere else either. Must be holed up inside, reinforcin' their defenses. They're bettin' it all on this place."
"Then, we should be able to get close without too much resistance." Turner said.
"But once we hit the hotel, we gotta be prepared for the worst."
"We'll need to take the apartment first. Could be swarming with Krauts. We're gonna sweep it to cover our rear, then advance to the hotel. Fall in!"
"Red, Zussman, take point. Let's go!"
Emma puts away his binoculars and the team moves up to the apartment. The squad sweeps through the apartment from the basement to the top. The team comes upon another weak wall and a rocket launcher.
