I stretched, arms lifting above my head. Ria sat before me, intently reading her notes. Mikuna was to her left, going over the notes as well.
"It says here that the Nira case was rushed, as though there wasn't enough time," Mikuna stated.
Ria nodded, not taking her eyes off the pages. "That's what I managed to get from the police on the case. As for the Ollie case, that was the most recent one, so there's not much information."
I saw blue, desaturated and sad. Tears built up in my eyes as I listened. A twelve year old boy had been killed just two days ago. The report said that he looked like he was asleep. Peaceful. The flowers that sprouted from his mouth told the other story. Whoever this killer was, they needed to be stopped.
Mikuna fiddled with her rose brooch. It was dark blue, made from a shiny metal; the color went nicely with her black dress.
We were all in black, the color of mourning and sympathy. My right hand rested over my heart, shaking slightly.
Ria pushed herself out of her seat. "We need to go. If we wait any longer, the interrogation will be called off entirely."
I got up as well. "Fleur, right? That's our first suspect?" Uncertainty crept into my voice.
My sister shook her head. "Yes. I was told that she had been acting suspiciously when she was told about one of the victims."

We made it to the station by eleven, with fifteen minutes to spare. The lady at the desk had us sent to the interrogation room just two minutes after we arrived.
The room itself was light, with a window showing the outside world. That was actually so no one went berserk with their interrogation methods. Smart. We had something similar back home in Lucefia.
In under five minutes, our first suspect was dragged in by an officer, writhing around. Her jaws snapped like a wild animal's. She wore a long black shirt with white pants under. I saw she had short blonde hair, paler than mine and Ria's.
"LET ME GO! I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO THOSE PEOPLE, I SWEAR! LET ME GO! LET ME GO!" she screamed, voice cracking at her second sentence. She had a shrill voice, though I guessed it was just from her shrieks.
Pale green eyes darted around, before latching onto me.
"You there, boy! Help me!" she howled.
I shook, unable to comprehend. Ria reached out, gently placing a hand on my shoulder. Her hands were soft and warm. They reminded me of.....
Never mind.
The officer, a woman a few years older than us, pushed Fleur into her chair, then spoke. "My name in Lindsey," she said. "This young woman here was a doctor over on Foxwood Drive. I'm afraid to say that her license has been suspended due to her being a suspect in this case. You may ask her questions."
Ria cleared her throat. "Alright. Where were you on March twelfth, four months ago?"
Fleur's eyes narrowed. "Pass, you little rat!" she spat. Ria looked hurt, then her gaze sharpened.
"Where were you on the night of June eighth?"
"Pass."
"What were you doing during June twenty-second?"
"Pass!"
Ria stood up, slamming her hands down on the desk. "You can't just say "pass" to every question! You need to answer me!"
