The Package

Chapter 1: "Mistaken" Delivery

It's a friday and windy night, most people have already slept by then, but our main character, Lily, finally got some good rest after the dreadful classes that she has to take when she is at school. She scrolls through TikTok on her phone with nothing interesting on her for you page. Feeling underwhelmed, she starts scrolling through YouTube shorts to find some interesting videos.

All was well until she finds a video called "VIDEO_141299". It looked like your ordinary shock video but something was off while watching the whole video. The video was about 30 seconds long but the more she continued watching the video, the more off-putting it seemed. There were no views, no likes, and no comments. Lily decide, that, that was enough internet for the day and went to bed. It was about 1am before sleeping.

Lily woke up to the sound of heavy rain through the pink-tinted glass windows that she installed for her room. Lucky for her, she liked cold and rainy days. Lily's boyfriend, Keith, walks into the room and hugs her, randomly. "H-hey babe.. Why'd you hug me? I told you I don't like hugs.." She said consciously. Lily knew her boyfriend was sensitive and takes a ton of things to heart. "Oh.. s-sorry. I just felt like you needed it today.." He said, clearly looking and sounding sorry for what he did. "It's fine.." you said. "..also, babe,  I saw this package at the door. .. I don't know what's inside the package and why this was sent to our door but who knows." Keith said, looking nervous, especially after he hugged Lily. He looked a little worried and was clearly scared from his tone of voice. "I'll check it out in a bit.. I'll go wash up and maybe get a bite or two and check the box out."

After getting out of bed, in the sloppiest manner possible, Lily quickly washed her face and walked to the kitchen to get a sandwich. She saw the box, and it looked like your typical delivery package, but it looked odd.. it looked beat up and looked like it's damaged. After eating her sandwich, she, with a heavy heart, grabbed a pen knife and started cutting the tape that was surrounding the box.
