Mr. Hashimura's coffee shop was busy that day and Mr. Hashimura couldn't be bothered to talk to the young journalist.

"Hurry up. I have a lot of clients."

"Have you seen Michiru-sama, Japan's most famous contemporary painter as of recent?"

"Truthfully it's been a minute but I sure do remember the last time she was here!"

"What happened?"

Well...

"She closed the laptop and stared at the street. Her eyes were melancholic, the same way they had been for the past 24 years. I never understood what was up with this girl. She'd never talk to me. All I knew was that she'd come to my coffee shop every day, order a cup of tea and write on her laptop for hours.

Even though she didn't take much care of herself, she was beautiful. At first, I thought she was one of those eccentric authors, but then my wife recognized her as a famous painter from the past.

Yesterday something peculiar happened. She was sitting at that small table; that's where she always sits, staring at nowhere, again like she always does. A white-haired man opened the door.

The guy seemed as shocked to see her as she was to see him. She stood up, and then the guy ran toward her, lifted her, and hugged her. It was a bizarre scene; they kissed as If they hadn't seen each other in a long, long time because as soon as they touched it was like, BOOM! Like a magnetic field broke open. Then she looked at me, for the first time in 24 years! She thanked me and left. I hope she'll return soon; she forgot her laptop on the table..."
