Jake's POV
Today I wanted to flunk school and just stay at home. I then realized that I have most my classes with her. As soon as I did my usual routine I dashed out of the house and headed to school.

I arrived at first period. To my surprise she wasn't there.

Me: pretty girl where are you??? I know you miss me
Pretty girl: how many times does your thick brain need to be told my name's Brooklyn. Also it's none of your beeswax where I am. Your the one that texted me are you your not the one missing me
Me: I'll see you in chemistry

I had a smile on my from what she said. that stayed for the rest of the lesson.

"Pretty girl come sit next to me" "No Jackass" I realised she was clutching her side wincing whenever she took a step. I saw bloodstains on her had and shirt. I quickly got out my phone and messaged her brother Brock. He and I have become great friends science they have moved.

ME: yo bro what's up with ur sister?
Brock:why?what's wrong?
Me: she is wincing when she walks and I think she has got blood on her
Brock:ohhh shit!not again thanks for letting me know man

Finally the retarded teacher walks in"you will be doing an assignment with the person next to you." Some kids groaned including Brooklyn as they realised who they were working with. "Pretty girl it looks like me and you are supposed to be together." To that I got the response "Fuck you and this assignment." "It looks like it's someone's time of the month." I said raising my hands in surrender.

During lunch I saw her with her brothers out in the corridors. "You promised you wouldn't do this again!" "Did he come back?" My mind kept pondering on the question. I hadn't realised the time. Instead of heading to period 6 I went to see Ethan and assumed Spence would be there.

Brooklyn POV
Today is fight day. My gang is fighting a rival. I got up and did my morning routine but instead of wearing what I normally where to school I had to where all black.  I rushed out of the house quickly before anyone stopped me and asked. "Where are you going so early?" "Why are you dressed like that?" "Why have you got all your piercings in?" I only where my piercings on fight day.

I was not at the warehouse and Ethan was there. Ethan is my best friend. Yes, get over the fact that I have a friend. Ethan and I joined 8 years ago when I was 10. He has helped me through my past and is like my twin. "Brookebear long time no see!" "E you know not to call me that! Anyway we will catch up later. " I had finished my sentence as soon as the gunshot went off.  We both knew it was time.

Suddenly a guy in his late twenties came. I quickly need him where it hurt most and I punched his noes. He was out cold. Lest just say a lot of the guys I fought will have wounds for a few days. I myself had been shot. I covered it up a bit and left it even though whenever I walked I was in so much pain. I said my goodbyes to E and the gang. I checked my phone before leaving

(A/N sorry the fight scene is a bit shit. I am not really that good at writing them.)

When I arrived at school I went straight to period 2. Jake was obviously there flirting. He spotted me and said "Pretty girl come sit next to me" "No Jackass" my response was but I had to sit next to him because that was the only seat in the class. Slowly trying to hide the fact I was in pain I sat down. By then the good-for-nothing teacher came.
She said "you will be doing an assignment with the person next to you." Some kids groaned including me as they realised who they were working with. "Pretty girl it looks like me and you are supposed to be together." He got the response "Fuck you and this assignment." "It looks like it's someone's time of the month." Jake said raising his hands in surrender.

It was now lunch. I wasn't hungry but I needed to go back to Ethan and ask him to stitch me up. I had been avoiding Brock and Clint because I had a feeling Jake saw me wincing.

Suddenly they both jumped out of nowhere and cornered me. They bombarded me questions. "You promised yo wouldn't do this again!?!" "Did he come back?" I was fuming that they ambushed me like that. "Fuck off and don't you dare tell anyone!" They realised how angry I was and stepped back.

I went back to the warehouse to find Ethan and some guy there. I cleared my throat "Care to introduce me to your friend E?" "Brooke, Spencer. Spencer, Brooke my best friend. " E gestured towards Spencer. I held out my had and the good looking guy shook it. "Brooke to what to I owe the pleasure of you visiting me? " "I need your help E" I showed him my wound. He knew this happened this morning but I told him I was fine.

Whilst E was stitching it up I started talking to Spencer. "How do you know this guy then?" "Ethan and I along with our friend Jake used to go to the same highschool. Speak of the devil and he appears!" I turned around to see who was there. It was JACKASS."This is JAKE!" I was shocked Ethan never told me about them.

"Pretty girl what are you doing here?" "I could ask you the same thing but first I am going to knee Ethan in the balls!" I turned back to E who was packing the first aid kit . Suddenly a pair of arms wrapped around my waist trying to stop me. "As much as me and Spence would like to see that. We will let Ethan live." " Get your hands off me right now!" I exclaimed. "Oh don't pretend you don't love it." I sent a glare his way.

"Once you two have done your weird couple shit would you like tho explain to me and Spence what is going on?" We explained the whole story and the Spence finally spoke. "Your the hot girl he has been talking about!" "So he talks about me does he" I turned to look at Jake. He was blushing. E interrupted what I was going to say next by saying "If you dare hurt or touch her I will murder you myself!" "Relax E you sound like Ry. Anyway I have somewhere to go so later shitheads." I hugged Ethan and he says "New piercing. It looks nice."

I thanked him and left on my bike. Wondering if E has told them anything about my past.
