Even though today was a Friday, classes were canceled for the day in Luna Nova due to new years. The news which had made students jump up and down with cheers, amongst them, Akko, unsurprisingly.

Diana, which had already known the news seemed unbothered, and ready for a peaceful day studying in her room. Or so she thought.

Akko

    I'm SO excited for today! I didn't actually expect we'd get a day off, so as soon as i heard the announcement i decided to gather everyone up to go in town to do a group hangout. But it seemed that everyone else had that same idea in mind because right when i opened the door pretty much everyone was there.

"Ayy what's up!" Amanda exclaimed. "You ready for a day out in town?!"

"Well duh! But where's Diana?" I asked, looking at Barbara and Hannah for answers. We had become good friends when they had found out that Me and Diana were dating just a couple months back.

"Well, we tried to get her to go but..", Barbara started.

"She said she's studying for today." Hannah finished.

Why wasn't i surprised. I get that she doesn't want to fail class or whatever, but i feel like she needs a break from time to time. And that's why less than a minute later i barged into the blue team's dorm (where the famous Cabbage headed gay witch is :]).

Diana

I was peacefully studying—if you don't count the students cheering in the halls— when a certain brunette barged into my dorm (well my dorm that i share with two other people but let's not talk about that).

"Diana you must come with us to town today!" Akko said bursting into my room. "You have to take a break from time to time you know!"

I sighed i knew she was right and i could never say no to Akko, it was like i was under a spell ( called true love 😏😒), "Fine, after i finish thi-"

"And i won't take no for an answer!" Akko continued unaware that she had just cut Diana off, "You need some vitamin D or Z or whatever it was, you see I'm not su- Wait did you say you'd go!?" Akko said coming into realization.

I chuckled, "Of course."

Which got a bright smile out of Akko, "Alrighttt!" Making me fall in love with her all over again.

"Alright lovebirds, we should get going if you guys want some free time in town before the new years event." Amanda stated.

"Ahem, yes we should go," I muttered.

3rd person

Everyone in Luna Nova was gathering around the courtyard after the long day waiting for the countdown to start. It was a bit chilly outside but no one seemed to mind. The anticipation of everyone when the clock counted to eleven seconds was through the roof and higher when it hit ten.

The countdown starts.

     "Ten!"

      "Nine!"

      "Eight!"

      "Seven!"

       "Six!"

       "Five!"

        "Four!"

         Diana

"Three!"

I was staring at Akko when the countdown started, her deep crimson red eyes, her beautiful hazel colored hair as the light reflected on it. How did i get so lucky? I want to kiss her so bad right now. Which sparked an idea.

      "Two!"
 
       I cupped her face and turned it to face me,  Akko who seemed confused but still smiled in response, making me blush.

     "One!"

     Fire works started going off, and then i pulled her in and gave her a passionate long kiss, Akko jump at the sudden contact but then returned the kiss upon realization. It felt warm, nice and her soft lips tasted like cinnamon.

      We separated after a few more minutes catching our breaths. I smiled, "Happy new years Akko."

      Akko returned the smile, " I love you, you know that?"

      "I know, i love you too," I blushed as Akko gave me a hug.
