"omae uzai" moa laughed lightly at the older girl who's head laid in her lap, that was blowing raspberries on the mid drift of the younger girl's stomach. suzuka knocked her head back in a fit of laughter.

"what's up with you today?" moa sensed something up with her lover, she had been acting off that day.

"i just love youuuuu" she sat up off her lap with a slight grown.

it was their first new year together as girlfriends. they were alone in their shared tokyo apartment, normally they'd have friends over, however the pandemic caused a change of plans. moa was bummed, on the other hand, su had other plans.

neither of the girls have had the classic "new years kiss", or in general dated before.

sure they've kissed many times before, but this was special.

su had been acting off, yes. she was nervous, she didnt know why. which made her extremely goofy sometimes.

"hello? helloooo??? su-chan?" moa snapped her fingers in front of her girlfriend's eyes. she came out of her trance, greeted by the bright smile that could only be worn so perfectly by moa kikuchi.

"we have a few hours to spare before 12, we could take a shower together then just lay around till midnight?" she laughed a little towards the end, suzuka nodded, standing up and reaching her hands out to help the other girl off the bed.

soon they were in the shower, just holding each other as the water rained over them. moa was somewhat caught up to suzuka's height, so her head rested upon the crook of su's neck, su laid her head on moa's. her eyes closed, taking in the moment.

"i could stay like this forever" moa spoke into the taller girl's collarbone, leaving little kisses.

both girls loved moments like these, their non sexual moments that still showed their love for each other. su peppered kisses along moa's forehead, moving her wet bangs to the side for better access.

"i love you so much" the small rested all her weight on su.

"let's wash up then relax alright?" they pulled away, still locking hands and washed eachother.

timeskip

moa flipped through the tv channels in search of the one that had the new years fireworks. it was always her favorite since she was little, and now she got to experience it with her girlfriend of 8 months.

"cmon! where is it!!" she frustratedly clicked through channels till she found it. by the time she did, there was 4 minutes till the awaited 12am.

"su hurry!!!" she called through the apartment to suzuka who was just done completely panicking about the kiss while putting away the dishes they had used for dinner.

"one second!" she called closing the last cabinet and rushing down the hallway, it was really about to happen.

the girl's sat in bed together at the edge, eyes glued on the countdown.

"15! 14! 13!" moa counted down, su wrapped her arm around moa's back, pulling her closer.

"happy new year!!!" the tv crowd shouted, the girls turned and faced each other.

that's when suzuka sucked in a deep breath, and pulled moa in for THE kiss. she was stiff for a second, then softened under suzuka's touch. she kissed back, passionately. their lips moved in sync, fitting in with each other's like a puzzle. su's hand rested upon moa's cheek, softly caressing it.

it lasted a few minutes, until they pulled away for air. it wasn't rough or weak. both of them could feel the love radiating from each others heart. they're eyes met once again, turning from a lustful look to a look of happiness from both of them.

su finally spoke

"i've been waiting all night for that"

all moa could do was nod, before pulling her lover back in, sharing the same emotions as the first. her hands roamed su's body, the taste of su's vanilla chapstick rubbing against moa's lips was magical, everything about it was.

pulling away one last time, moa hadn't a tear slipped from her eye until su wiped it away with her thumb.

"what's wrong?" su tilted her head, such a change in mood since just whag went on.

"i love you... so so much, i cant imagine spending my life with anyone else, thank you for my first new years kiss" she smiled, wrapping her arms around the girl she always looked up to.

and just like that, it was a brand new year. the girls could not wait for what the future had in store for them, and babymetal as a whole.

"oh and, su-chan. is this why you were acting weird earlier?"
