Part one

The beginning

It has been one month since the Nirvasyl syndrome outbreak and AnimaCity is back to normal...well almost. A few things have changed like Nazuna finally becoming a beast celebrity and an idol. She is now working with Marie Itami, (the mink) who is now her manager and merchandise seller. Michiru and Shirou are now very close friends, they've team up as partners and are working for the police to 'fight crime' and help the beastmen in this city. Shirou is as still as close as always with the mayor, who is now the new director of the medical centre since Alan stepped down. So yes, things have been good for the city.

Shirou and Michiru were now on their way to city hall, mayor Rose has asked for them both to come meet with her. While they were walking Michiru kept getting nervous and making up theories as to why the mayor wanted them to meet with her. "I wonder what's going on. I understand her asking for you but for me to come too, it must be very important." She tells Shirou nervously, who just continues to walk without even looking at her. "Yeah I guess it has to be important. Then again, when is a meeting with the mayor not important?" He asks and Michiru starts feeling uncomfortable again. Shirou didn't look in her direction but he could sense her nervousness, "Don't worry." He says. Michiru looks up at him in confusing. "The mayor probably wants to see us for another mission." He tells Michiru with a sure voice. This definitely calmed her because almost instantly she was back to her normal happy self. "Well then, let's not keep the mayor waiting." She says excitedly before walking a bit faster.

When they arrived at city hall, they immediately went to the mayor's office. Shirou often went to see her, so they didn't have to wait to get an appointment or anything. Michiru was about to knock on the door when Shirou just went ahead and opened it. When they entered they mayor looked at them with a serious face, Michiru could feel her nervousness coming back. She peaked over in Shirou's direction, 'He seems surprisingly calm.' Michiru thought to herself. However, unbeknownst to her Shirou was also just as worried as she was. After seeing Michiru's nervous expression, Mayor Rose began to change her stern face into a warm smile. "You can calm down Miss Michiru, you're not in trouble. That goes for you too Oogami." She says and Michiru's body began to show that she was relaxing. As for Shirou, he didn't even move a muscle when they mayor spoke. After clearing her throat the mayor finally spoke, "Good afternoon you two, I'm sure you're wondering why I asked you both here." "Maybe a little." Michiru responded and the mayor began to chuckle. "Well you can relax Miss Michiru, I have only asked you here to inform you of my new plan." Shirou looked at the mayor suspiciously, "What plan is that?" She looked in his direction, "To allow humans in AnimaCity." She answers, which only gets a confused face from Michiru. "But Shirou said you already had that plan for a month?" Michiru commended, Mayor Rose gave her a nod. "Yes that's true, I have had that intension for a while now." "Then why are telling me this if I'm already aware of it?" Shirou asks her, generally confused. The mayor begin to smile at him, "I'm informing you again because that way you know humans are joining the city. So please, don't go attacking people Oogami." She tells him. Michiru laughs at the mayor's commend whilst Shirou just huffed.

"You see I'm planning on having the humans join our city by the end of the week." The mayor continued, "In order to make them feel as welcomed as possible I'm going to have this city throw a festival." Michiru was ecstatic about the idea, however, once Shirou heard that humans were coming into the city he immediately began to feel threatened. "Are you sure about this. I'm not quite sure the beastmen would be pleased with letting humans into the city just yet." He tells the mayor, Michiru began to glare at him. "And just which beastmen wouldn't be happy to hear that humans are finally accepting them? You maybe, but other beastmen would be super happy if the humans were allowed in the city." Shirou rolled his eyes at her, "First off there are many beastmen who dislikes the idea of having humans as friends. And the second thing is humans isn't accepting us, we're accepting them into the city." Michiru forms fists and moves closer towards Shirou, "Well this festival will change all that, and everyone will see that humans and beastmen aren't that different after all Shirou!" He glares at her intensively, "The way I see it the beastmen are doing most of this for human whilst the humans won't even accept the fact that we have beast DNA." There was an intense amount of silence and mayor Rose decided to speak before anything regrettable could be done. "Alright now calm down you two. Oogami, you knew this day was coming; the festival is the first step to creating peace between beastmen and humans. And Michiru, Oogami's right, not all beastmen are as human friendly as you and Nazuna. So I'm asking that you don't accuse him of being prejudice." They both looked away feeling guilty. "You're right Miss Mayor, I'm sorry Shirou." Michiru said whilst apologising to Shirou. "You're right too, we need to start accepting humans into this city." Shirou said before turning to the mayor, "So how are you going to pull this off?" He asks and she smiles. Thought Shirou was still worried about the idea he agreed to listen to the mayor and understand her plan. The mayor explained everything to them calmly and by the time they were done it was already sunset.
