The black wolf
Author's POV
While they were driving back to AnimaCity, Michiru and Shirou just silently sat in the car. Michiru was processing what happened at 'Apex' today. 'I can't believe my dad was a beastmen hunter, why would he do this?' A teardrop rolled down her cheek, Shirou looked at her with a worried expression. He held her hand tightly while looking at the road ahead, Michiru looked at their hands surprised before looking at Shirou. "I'm sorry Michiru, I shouldn't have said all those things out in the open like that. I just didn't want you to be deceived by your father's lies any longer, I never meant to hurt you." Michiru gave him a soft smile and tightened her grip on his hand. "No Shirou, you didn't hurt me. If anyone hurt me today it was crazy my dad." Suddenly she frowned and avoided eye-contact. "You probably hate me after all that..." Shirou gave Michiru a disapproving frown before slowing down the car and parking on the side, luckily it was a peaceful night and the road was pretty clear of cars. "Michiru, I would never hate you. In fact, I needed to tell you that I don't like you either." Michiru's head snapped in his direction and she started to tear up, "You don't?" He looked at her with a soft expression, his eyes were so attracting as they stared into her beautiful tanuki ones. "No." She lowered her gaze from him, she was about to cry but her next words shocked her. "I love you, tanuki." Michiru couldn't believe her ears. 'Did Shirou just confess his feelings to me!?'
As if realizing what he just said, Shirou immediately looked in front of him trying to focus on the road, knowing full well the car wasn't even on. Michiru's eyes were wide as she tried to process what he had told her, "How long have you had these feelings," she asked as an excited smile started to form on her lips. "From the first time I met you, when you just arrived in AnimaCity," he said while still not looking at her. "When you ran into me during the festival I just knew that somehow you would be someone special in my life. Even after learning that you were a human, that feeling inside never changed. I guess I just never had the courage to tell you how I felt." Suddenly the butterflies in her stomach took flight and she smiled at Shirou sweetly, "Well I'm glad you told me Shirou because, I-I love you too." Shirou's head jerked up and he looked at Michiru before a soft smile formed on his lips as his eyes shined in happiness.
They both stared at each other as a comfortable silence filled the car, words weren't spoken but their eyes told each other exactly how they felt. Finally, Shirou leaned his face closer to Michiru's lips, making her heart skip a beat. 'Was he going to kiss me?' Michiru thought as she saw him coming closer. Shirou did give her plenty of time to pull away or reject his advances but she stayed idle. He pressed his lips softly against hers, making Michiru close her eyes in pleasure. One of Shirou's arms wrapped around the tanuki's waist pulling her across the seat and into his lap. Michiru let one of her hands go under his shirt and onto his bare chest, roaming all over it as she kissed him back. He bit her bottom lip, making her open her mouth for him to explore. As he deepens the kiss, Michiru wrapped her arms around his neck. The kiss was slow but passionate, Shirou wasn't in any hurry and neither was Michiru. Both of them taking their time to express their emotion through this kiss. They finally broke the kiss, both of them breathing heavily. They looked into each other's eyes with lust and compassion, neither one wanting to stop. But after hearing Kuro caw at them curiously they realize that they needed to be back in AnimaCity in time for the festival. Since it was literally only a few hours before the festival, they had to be there on time to get ready. Sighing deeply, Michiru climbed off of Shirou's lap and went back to her seat while Shirou started the engine again. "Let's go home." Shirou said before they got back on the road.
Meanwhile just outside a warehouse near AnimaCity, a few men in camouflage were standing around with crates that had the Sylvasta symbol on them. Two of the men walked forward, those two being the ones that were with Alan a few days ago. They walked up to the crates and the nerdy looking man handed his friend a crowbar, which the muscular man then used to open the crate dilled with tranquilizers, electric nets and of course muzzles. "This is it?" The muscular guy asked and the other men around him nodded while avoiding eye-contact. The man didn't seem to like the equipment that Alan provided, but his nerdy friend seemed to be alright with it. "Remember Ray, we only need to capture the wolf beastmen. These will do perfectly well for the mission." The muscular man known as Ray sighed in defeat before accepting his friends' word. "You're right Ben, now, what was the wolf's last location?" Ben took out his phone and search for something before answering, "According to the data I got while I was hacking into AnimaCity's records, this Oogami Shirou should be heading back in AnimaCity today. And knowing that he's the lone-wolf type of 'wolf', he'll probably stray from the other beastmen during the festival." Ray smirked, "Perfect, and with this special chemical that erases our smells, he'll never see us coming." They both laughed wickedly before the other men joined them.
