How funny life could be that you can think opposite things but love as deeply.

She looked out her window from the palace as she thought about heading back to her place now, her nights felt like forever as she looked out the window wondering what he was doing or where he even was.

She has been staying away from the restaurant since the Zane incident but it had been months and she needed space out of her four walls of confinement as she packed her bag and headed back in a car, her parents had given up on her comings and goings now.

"Yoongi" as she walked to the door.
"I was told you were here..." as she stood there.
"Why are you here?"
"I needed to see you" as she moved past him to open the door helping her with her suitcase.

"You can get Byron to stop watching me, I will be ok. It's not easy to get past the people with me" as he looked at her, she could still see the worry from the hospital "I am fine ok" as he nodded knowing he wouldn't acknowledge her about the Byron issue.
"Are you staying here now?" as she nodded.
"I would feel better if you were..."
"My life" as she cut him off, he nodded as she glared at him.
"At least I can see you without it being a problem... I just don't like you being alone" as she smiled to herself.
"Then you will need to check up on me" as he nodded "You! not Byron" she reiterated as he nodded to her.

"So what have you been doing?"
"This and that" as he shrugged.
"Yoongi?" he head tilt was cute and he knew he wouldn't be able to keep it from her forever.
"The company is partnering with a tech company to expand here" as she smiled at him.
"Are you going to be able to keep up with work and well..." as he looked to her.
"I need to..."  as she sighed.
"Sit down and listen" as he settled on the couch. She couldn't help but pace and look away for a few moments while she braced herself and gathered up her courage remembering how much it had hurt when he had left.

"You just got to trust that I will pick you up on those days..." as she looked into his eyes, he was always enough.
"For you there is nothing I wont do" as she smiled at him.
"Listen to what I have to say very carefully" as he nodded.

"I know you are scared that I will walk away but there is nothing I won't do if it's you. You showed me everything the world was too afraid to look at and I got to see it through your eyes and it wasn't all bad. It wasn't scary. It was hopeful. There is no shadow without light" as he pulled her into him, tucking her into him as she came to a stop next to the couch.
"Delaney there is nothing I won't do when it comes to you" as she nodded into him, she didn't doubt that or what he had been up to when he wasn't with her or working.
"I don't need all this from you, if it's you... I just need you to be there" as he pressed his lips to her hair. The moment stood still as he worried she would walk away again, she was stubborn and tenacious. If she made up her mind, she wasn't changing it.

If she was going to lose him again it wouldn't be to this; it wouldn't be to her parents and it wouldn't be because he doubted himself.

"Can I trust you to not put yourself in danger for me?" she had hesitated, she knew he wasn't past what had happened at the hospital as she looked into his eyes but she couldn't promise that she would find Zane.
"I am here, I am right in front of you. I don't want to miss all those moments cause you are so worried for tomorrow when tomorrow keeps going by" as she looked into his eyes.

He really found it hard to argue with her, not because she was her but because she could come up with something irrefutable and there wasn't much he could say even if he wanted to but he knew how he felt about it and there was a fear in him from that night.

He hadn't been able to find Zane as he looked into her eyes "I wont lose you"
"You won't lose me" she hadn't let go of him as her pressed his lips to her hair.
"You weren't the one in the waiting room" as she tightened her arms around him "but if it had been me would you stop?" as she closed her eyes.

She had stopped it the first time from happening as it was as she remembered the moments, the time went so slowly between her walking away from the podium to him. She could hear her heart racing despite the press there and how deafly silent it was in the moments that she worried that it would him. Her fear didn't dissipate after the commotion and he was the last thing on her mind as her mind went blank.

"You aren't in the same position I am" as she pulled away looking into his eyes "if something happened to you the world may forget about you and I will walk through time remembering but if it is me... he is already paying the cost for that" as she ducked her face into his chest. She didn't want to think about if it had been reversed.

"What if you leave me again?"
"For you I would" as she pulled away tucking her arms in.
"Delaney..." as his arms wrapped around her shoulders pulling her in. She refused to hug him "I came back" as she eyed him.
"It was a press conference you technically didn't come back to find me" as he chuckled.
"Like that is it?" as she pouted.
"Then what about a present?" as she glared at him still pouting. The red of her lips as he lost his concentration pulling out a keyring from his pocket as it dropped to the ground.

"Yoongi" as she was left speechless.
"This is the key to my apartment, you can come and go as you please. There is a drawer there for your items as well" as she couldn't help but smile.
"You didn't win this" as he chuckled pulling her lips to his.

It was soft and warm, pained but a reminder how very close the other was.
