Flo's P.O.V.
I brush my brunette hair into a high ponytail and slick down my edges.
As I slip a piece of mint gum into my mouth, I grab my wallet and phone and leave out the apartment.
I walk upon the busy NYC streets. I wave my hand to a yellow taxi and they pull over and stop for me.
"Train station please." I tell him as I climb into the back and buckle my seat belt.
15 minutes later, he pulls up to the train station. I slap the money into his hand, without checking how much I gave him and slip out of the car.
I run to the train station with my hands in my apron because it's way too cold out. As the doors were about to close I slip in and make it in just in time. I pull out my Samsung Galaxy S3 and see that the time is 9:33 AM. I have to be to work in about 20 minutes, since I like to be a little early.
I hold on to the bus pole and close my eyes.
"Another day, another dolla'." I whisper to myself.

"Two cheese omelets, one orange juice, one coffee; no sugar, and four pieces of smoked sausage." I smile to the elderly couple and hand them their meal.
"Thank you..." She looks down at my name tag. "Flo." She smiles.
"You're very welcome." I give a polite smile and go to the kitchen, to see Bianca, my co worker AKA my best friend.
"Girl..." She trails off. "Tell me why Marquis left me on seen this mornin'. Damn, he gets me really pissed at times." She complains about her no-good boyfriend Marquis, while washing dishes.
"And this is why I'm single." I giggle as I walk back into the front to take another customers order.
"Hi, I'm Flo. Today's special is Chicken Noodle Soup. Would you like some today?" I smile a pretty smile without looking down at the customer.
"Nah, I don't want any of that, but what I do want is some of that." I hear a male's voice say. I looked up and saw him staring at my almost curvy figure.
"Yeah, okay." I chuckle. "For real though. What you want?" I say beginning to get an attitude.
"Damn, ma. A nigga can't admire a cute ass girl?" The brown skin says. I roll my eyes because this is the same thing I go through everyday.
"Look, I'm here to take your order. If you're not here to eat, then bye." I say walking off. I hear his footsteps following behind me.
"I'm sorry." He says with a NYC accent. "I'm Trevor, call me Tre. And you are?"
"Flo." I say, loosening up a bit. He grabs ahold of my hand and kisses it.
"Pretty name."
He smiles with deep dimples. I blush and look down."Thanks. Anyways, you here to eat, or to get my number?" I giggle a bit.
"Both."
He smirks. I laugh as he walks back to his table."Girl..." I heard Bianca's voice behind me. "He's a cutie. You feelin' him?" She asks, smiling strongly with her peach colored braces.
"Yeah, he's cute and all but I just met him. And I ain't gettin my hopes up either because he might just be a fuckboy." I sigh and get back to work.

As I walk into my junky apartment, I throw my purse onto the kitchen counter, along with my keys. I slip off my work shoes and put them next to the front door.
