prologue

i was only 13. did he have to send me away now? i mean sure i was ready but why now?

my uncle claims its because no one knew about me yet and i was the perfect candidate for a plan he had in a couple years.

to complete this task i was to float on a barrel to their boat where i would be rescued. i was to tell them that the pirate king was my uncle who abandoned me and i wanted revenge.

i would give the false information that he loves his daughter so much he would do anything for her. then i would propose we kidnap her in exchange for money.

i was once the captain of my own ship but i had to abandon it to be first mate on alosa's ship. now here i was saying my quick farwells.

they took the boat in range of the Night Farer and i climbed down. i grabbed the barrel and began my quick swim in the veiw of the crew.

i was a little bloody to make it more believable. just a few punches to the face was enough. i heard a crew member yell.

a rope was thrown to me. i acted as thought i was struggling to climb it. in reality i could have climbed it easily.

they helped by pulling the rope up as well. once at the top of the ship the men gasped. i was a woman.

luckily i was young enough so that few men tried anything. i told them of the revenge i wanted on the pirate king and his daughter.

they took me belowdeck afterwards to sit with the children of the crew. they all looked typical except for one. i knew him as riden and nearby was his brother draxen.

i told them my story as well. we hung out for many years and riden became my best friend. as well as enwen who didnt steal from me.

a couple years later

i had worked my way to getting here. i had introduced overthrowing jeskor for a while. i was watching carefully to make sure everyone was doing their part.

maybe i was paying attention to intently to the entrance cause before i knew it i was in manacles locked in the brig.

"i say we kill them all off, one by one." jeskor said. he said he would kill riden first. i started picking the lock on my shackles.

once i was free i crept over. draxen came to help riden. jeskor pulled out his sword but riden was quick to intervene. but he hesitated.

i couldnt let jeskor win so i pushed riden aside and knocked jeskor out with my chains. i then grabbed ridens sword and stabbed him.

"it was for the best riden." i whispered to his numb expression. i hugged him before going up stairs to fight off the rest of the crew.

a/n i couldnt find any books on this so im writing my own. it was really hard to write this because i couldn't remember all the details from the book but i improvised.
