'What exactly does your mum need all this for?', Sean asked as we got out of his navy blue convertible. I just shrugged. 'I really don't know'.
We headed into Betsy's Café - basically where every teen hung out after school. The smell of sundaes and soda welcomed me as we took a window seat at the end. 'Your usual?', Sean asked. I nodded.
After a few minutes, he placed a Rocky Road sundae with hazelnut syrup in front of me with a strawberry soda in his hand. 'Summer', he said. 'Sean', I replied flatly.
'For some reason, I feel like you're not excited to see me', he said. I just stared at him and put a spoon of my sundae in my mouth. He continued, 'Look Summer, I haven't seen you in a while and I wanna catch up. That's it. Okay?'. 'Okay', I replied.
'I'm really gonna need a lot more than one word answers'
'What do you want me to say'
'Okay let's talk about your summer'
'Well, we spent two months in Amsterdam with my grandma who is currently battling alcoholic dementia'
'Whoa. How is she?'
'She's okay. She still remembers us but she forgets recent stuff. She forgets when we visit. We had to leave notes at her bedside reminding her we came. I really wished she stopped drinking. It really sucked most times but I pray she does fine'
'I'm really sorry'
'I'll tell her you send your best wishes, she'll probably forget'
I was really getting bored and I think Sean noticed because he was ready to take me home.
                          .....................
'Thanks for the sundae, Sean'. He nodded and sped off. I unlocked the door and stepped in. My nineteen year old brother as well as only sibling, Nate was on the couch texting.
He noticed me and turned around. 'I got pineapple and ham pizza, its sitting in the microwave for you', he said. I smiled and gave him a thanks before grabbing the pizza and heading into the living room.
Nate stood up. 'I gotta go', he said. Probably to his girlfriend, Leila. I nodded and continued to eat.
The house got really boring so I checked my social accounts. 30 new followers on Instagram, 25 people added me on Snapchat, 20 new Twitter followers and a bunch of votes on my Wattpad book, 'Werewolf Fantasy'.
Later, Jasmine came visiting and we talked and laughed nonstop. We both planned a movie for the weekend. 'Furious 7' was out and we just had to watch it.
My parents left me a message saying they would be back around 1 am and we were free to order in. I decided to go to the estate's McDonald's.
It was 7pm and Nate hadn't come so I walked on my own to the McDonald's.
I got my two cheeseburgers, nuggets and a milkshake. While leaving, I bumped into someone. 'I'm sorry', he said. I recognized the voice.
It was Tyler Reynolds. I guess he recognized me too. 'Oh, hey Summer. Sorry for bumping into you'. 'Completely my fault', I replied. 'I'm sorry. See you around', he said.
'Hey, do you live around here?'
'Na, just staying with a friend for the night. I offered to get dinner'. He rose up his meal and smiled.
'Well, see ya'
He offered his hand and I shook it and he smiled again. What's that thing people say? 'He smile melted me' or something like that.
Then there it was. That unfamiliar rise of my heartbeat. He headed out the door. And I felt my cheeks heat up.

A/N: Thanks to those that have voted for me. Tell everyone about this book. Let's see if there will be anything happening with Tyler and Summer.
