A new place to live, new town, new people. A new life. Lammy was moving to a new town since the last went terrible with her in it.
Hopefully it won't end the same with this town.
Mr. Pickles sat on her shoulder watching as she picked up the boxes for her new place in Happy tree town. "You know this will just end up like this town, right?"Mr. Pickles said. "It won't, and I'll make sure of it." She stated. He laughed a bit but had quit talking. She continued packing, eventually finishing up.
Already time I guess
She looked out to the town. It was a small town that she lived in, it was the way she liked it. Not many people lived there and it was quiet, not much went on there. Not until she came that was. Now it was silent and barren.
Of course it's silent. It was my doing.
No it was him.
Who am I kidding.
She got into her car and prepared to drive away. She looked over to see Mr. Pickles already sitting in the car. He had a way of just appearing where she was or needed to be. It was like a curse with him. She started heading to her new place of residence, the sun peaked out as it was still early in the morning. It was silent in the car as she drove, she didn't really like silence. She knew she had to establish some sort of rules so that the same thing wouldn't happen in this new town.
"Mr. Pickles, I seriously need you to not act up, you can't cause trouble in this town." "Oh ho ho, really now, me causing trouble?" He looked over at Lammy .
"You're the one who's doing this."
He was smiling.
That sick twisted grin.
"I'm being serious, we can't keep doing this!" Lammy said angrily. "Whatever you say." He stayed silent, looking out of the window. He was never one for agreeing with her. He almost always did what he wanted to do and never did what Lammy had told him to do. But then again, he was just a pickle. How could he move and do all of this.
She neared the town, seeing very few people walking around doing their own things. Of course there wouldn't be many people up at this time since it was still early in the morning. She liked that since she didn't really need people knowing she was arriving there. Then again she would have to go into town sometime.
The house she got wasn't really near anyone else's house, which was good. But there were still some places around it.
I want to make new friends and start fresh with this place. Maybe I can even have a tea party with some of the people here! That would be nice, I can't remember the last time I've had one.
She arrived at the house, it was a decent size and had a nice front yard. She got out grabbing Mr. Pickles and the key to the house. she opened the door to see the cream colored walls and the empty living room. A smile rose on her face and she started to giggle.
"It's so pretty and spacious, it's perfect!"
She twirled around in the open space, her jacket and skirt flowing as she spun. "You're going to make me dizzy if you keep doing that!" Mr. Pickles yelled out. She stopped and set him down smiling, she then went out to grab the boxes from out of the car.
I'll probably finish unpacking in an hour if I'm quick, I don't have much anyway.
After a few minutes the car was empty of boxes and she headed inside to unpack them. There's still a few items that were needed for the house, mainly lightbulbs and food.
I'll need to head into town soon if I need them.
"Why did you choose this town anyway?" Mr. Pickles spoke up "Oh. I don't know, it was just pretty close and it seemed nice." "Yeah and what if these townspeople found out what you did to the last one?" Lammy seemed to freeze up at his comment. "They won't."
He always does this.
"They'll find out about you eventually, your murders and all." "That wasn't me" Lammy's mood darkened as he kept talking. "Oh please, the blood was on your hands, not mine." She could just hear the smile in his voice when he spoke. "No it wasn't, I saw you murder those people!" She yelled out.
"You can keep telling yourself that darling"
The room fell silent.
Was it really all my fault, the blood, those people? No he's trying to get to you.
It wasn't you!
She quietly continued to unpack the boxes she brought in. Her mood was dampened when he spoke about that. He always said these types of things to get under her skin to try and convince her of things she didn't want to believe. She hated what he said and she just wanted to get rid of him. But she couldn't.
She was always cautious in a way, just so she wouldn't screw anything up.
But it always just came back to bite her though.
If something bad does happen what'll I do? I can't move away again it would be suspicious, especially when I just moved here.
No nothing will happen.
Focus.
She looked around and noticed all the boxes empty and everything set up.
I must have finished without realizing. She sighed slumping a bit. Guess it's time to head to town.
The sun was shining through the windows, it was still pretty early.
I should go out and meet people in town, make some new friends maybe.
She stared at Mr. Pickles, wondering if she should bring him or not. She didn't want anything to happen while she was in town, she had just arrived and didn't want to risk the lives of people in town. But then again he could just follow her. She sighed grabbing Mr. Pickles, "I'm heading to town so you need to behave yourself and not do anything" Lammy stated. "I can't promise anything dear."
Lammy walked out grabbing the keys to her house. She decided to walk since the town was a short walk there. It was quiet when she walked, trees blocked the sun only allowing some to shine through. It was peaceful, only her steps were heard as she walked.
This place could be the one for her, to change everything. She just had to stay in line and make sure the Pickle didn't do anything to ruin it. She was lost in thought until she heard Mr. Pickles.
"We're here"
