She saw more people walking walking now that it was later in the morning. She walked on the sidewalk looking for the stores she needed, receving stares from passerbys. She held the pickle as she walked into the harware store and looked around at the small place. She only needed lightbulbs as she noticed there were none in here house for whatever reason.
"Hey,I've never seen you here before."Lammy froze a bit at the voice, she turned to see a man behind the counter.
Must be the owner.
"Ah yeah,I just moved into town today, needed to get some lightbulbs"She smiled at him. "Oh...Well that's...nice" he seemed to frown a bit "Anyway, the lightbulbs are on the third isle to your right." He said as a smile perked on his face again. "Thank you" Lammy walked off to the isle he told her.
"What was that all about ?"Mr.Pickles questioned,"I'm not really sure, seemed a bit off". She grabbed the lightbulbs she needed and walked back to the counter. The man looked at her and than the pickle she held, but looked back scanning the lightbulbs.Of course she would get weird looks holding a pickle. She was used to it by now.
The man had finished bagging up the bulbs and handed them to Lammy,"Have a good day miss, and be careful."Lammy looked at him with a weird face,"Uh,you too".She grabbed the bag and walked quickly out of the store.
What does he mean by that,is he just trying to scare me cause I'm new here?
Lammy was walking quickly and not paying attention and ended up running into someone."I'm really sorry,I was not paying attention to where I was going!"Lammy apoligized and looked up as she had fallen back.A hand reached out to her and she took it,she was met with a blue skunk. She wore gloves and an air freshener around her neck, her hair was up with a small pink flower in it.
Lammy had also seen a man behind her with prosthetic arms and a yellow hard hat,he was an orange beaver with a small ponytail."It's quite alright, are you by chance new in town,I'm sure I've never seen your face around here?"
"Yeah just moved here today, the names Lammy"The skunk smiled at her "My names Petunia and behind me is Handy."She turned to Handy and he waved to Lammy."It's nice meeting you!"Lammy said grinning
Maybe she could be a new friend, she seems super nice!
"Hey you wouldn't mind coming over sometime for a tea party, weird to ask since we just met but I would like to become friends with you!"Lammy said excitedly."Of course, would Saturday be a good time since you just moved in and all?" "That sounds perfect" Lammy replied. She looked over at Handy "Would you like to come to Handy?" "I've actually got work on that day but I'm sure you'd rather just have my lovely Petunia instead of me tagging along."Handy said putting a hand on Petunias shoulder.
"I wanted to ask you about something Lammy"Lammy looked back to Petunia "Of course shoot" "What is it that you are holding"Petunia asked."These are just lightbulbs, the house didn't have any s-" "Sorry I meant the green thing" Lammy down quickly and realized "Oh him,he's my gppd friend Mr.Pickles,we hang out a lot" Lammy said showing him to Petunia.
She gave a nervous smile to her, seeing as she was holding a doll of a pickle. "That's cool,I have a stuffed bear if you'd like me to bring him when the tea party happens I can"Petunia reckoned, trying not to look at the odd plush."That would be perfect,I'm sure we'll have a great time!"Lammy beamed."Well we should be on our way, don't want your time of moving in,and hey if you ever need help you can always ask us.Petunia said.
They started walking away until Lammy realized "Wait you need my adress if you want to come over."She grabbed her reciept and wrote down her adress, handing it to Petunia."Thank you,I'll see you on Sauturday,I'll stop by on Thursday as well"She said walking through the door.
"Alright, see ya."Lammy said waving to the pair.Lammy beamed as she had just made a new friend. It was a great start to this town and life.
This could only go well.
