The Life of Skylar Rose.

Chapter 1: The Reveal

        Skylar Rose stood, her heart thumping out of her chest. She had done it. After two whole years of standing in the corner, keeping quiet, and dreaming about his arm around her waist, she had told her crush how she had felt... that she liked him. With every second, waiting for his reply, she was breathing heavily with anticipation.

"What would he say? Would he ask her out? Would he laugh? What would he do?"

        Being in only tenth grade, Skylar hadn't had much experience with boys. Sure, she crushed on them, but she never told them how she felt. Only did one day, had she had enough courage to take that huge leap. Her affection for Derek, an eleventh grader, became too much for her to hold in.

        After a while, Derek had then talked saying, "Really? Are you serious?"

        "Yeah... i know that it's stupid but I..." 

        "No, it's not." Derek interrupted. "It's just that i never knew you did." 

        "Oh. Well, i do. I actually have for a couple of years now." replied Skylar.

        "Why?" asked Derek with curiosity.

        "I don't know." Skylar said turning away.

        Before she could walk away completly, Derek ran up to her and grabbed her arm, sending tingles up through her spine. Skylar stiffened, but was relaxed at the same time. His grip was gentle.

        "Wait, Skylar." The words smoothly ran off his lips.

        "What?" Skylar said shakkily.

        "I'm not angry or upset at you. To be sort of honest, I've liked you for a while now. You're really pretty, smart, and, well..." Derek started to blush and laugh nervously. He then brushed back his brown hair.

        " Really?" Skylar asked. 

        Derek took ahold of Skylar's hands and then said with a smile,"Yeah."

        Derek looked in to Skylar's blue eyes while she looked in to his. He then gently moved her blonde hair out of her face and leaned in. Skylar's breathing became rapid. Derek's arms moved up Skylar's hands, to arms, to neck, to face. They kissed and kissed. Skylar couldn't think straight but knew only one thing for sure... that her and Derek were now more then just classmates...
