It's the next day and it's the presentation of the marriage project and Mac and Gordo have to go first in the class and Mac's super nervous. "You don't need to be so nervous Mac, we're gonna do great," Gordo whispered in her ear. "I'm gonna write the report and hate it Gordo, just let me loose, PLEASE," Mac said sadly. "I David Gordon promise that Mac Donnelly and myself will win," Gordo proudly stated. Then he leaned closer and kissed Mac's cheek. Gordo said proudly, "Now, let's get to our presentation." "Yeah, let's do this, even though I'm scared," Mac said proudly. Then they started their presentation and it went great! "And that's why we think that best friends would make a perfect married couple," Mac and Gordo said loudly. Then the whole class clapped and clapped and CLAPPED!!! At the end of class Mrs. Harris told the class the winner for the marriage project. Then Mrs. Harris said, "The winner of the marriage project and who doesn't have to write a paper is... Mac Donnelly, and David Gordon!" Then everyone started clapping again. They were so happy! When class was over, since Lizzie and Miranda have science together, Gordo and Mac have social studies together. Since it's just Gordo and Mac in social studies, the held hands under the table the whole class. When class was over it was lunch. "Hey girls," Mac said excitedly. "Woah, what's up with you," Lizzie and Miranda asked. "It's a secret, you can't tell anyone if I tell you, not even Gordo," Mac said sternly. "We promise," Lizzie and Miranda said at the same time. "So, my parents divorced and since that happened, to make me feel better my parents got me a dog, and I named her Doe," Mac said sadly at first then excitedly at the end of the sentence. "Omg I'm so sorry girl," Lizzie said sadly. "What, what happened, Lizzie, Miranda, Mac," Gordo questioned. "Girl secrets," all the girls said. "Well before I told you two, I told Gordo, a while ago," Mac said, "hey y'all wanna go to the movies later, I'm paying!" "What movie, and I'll have to ask my parents," Lizzie said. "The movie is The Hunger Games, I read the book and it's really good," Mac said excitedly. "I can't, I have homework," Gordo said. "I can come, my mom always talked about the book and she said she wants me to read the book too," Miranda said. "Great so it's a girls night, no Gordos aloud," Mac said. "Ha ha ha," Gordo laughed. After school, Mac's mom drop the girls off at the theater. They just got their tickets and the movie was about to start. "I'm sooo excited to see hunger Games," Mac said excitedly. "SAME," the other girls said. The movie started and it's really good now. "This movie is so good," Miranda whispered. "I know, Mac you really know how to pick a movie," Lizzie whispered. They were whispering because the movie was on and they didn't want to disturb other people watching the movie. When the movie ended, the girls left the theater and Lizzie went to call her mom to drop the girls off at Lizzie's house for a sleepover. "This sleepover is going to be amazing," Mac squealed. When they got to lizzie's house they ran up to her room and slammed the door behind them. "So you and Gordo huh," Miranda whispered. "What the heck are you talking about, me and Gordo are just friends," Mac explained. "Oh yeah, we'll friends don't stair at each other for sooooo long," Lizzie said. "We do not," Mac said. "Yeah you do," Miranda added. "If you two tell anyone I told you this, can you not tell Gordo I told you," Mac asked. "Yeah we won't tell," Lizzie said for both of them. "Ok, so what Gordo and I have been doing something that helps me a lot, and it's... he's been helping me work through my anxiety, since my parents are divorced," Mac sadly lied. "Awwww, you know he has a crush on you right," Lizzie stated. "Yeah, I knew that since I met him, you know why, 'cuz he said so a few days ago," Mac said. "It's getting really late, we should get to bed," Miranda yawned. "Goodnight," the girls said at the same time. When Mac got up to shut the light off the phone started ringing. "Should I get it," Mac asked. "Yeah, it's probably Gordo, he's probably asking what we're doing," Lizzie stated. "Kk," Mac squealed, "Hello?" "Yeah hey, I just wanted to say goodnight to you and to ask you if you told them the secret yet," Gordo asked. "No, I didn't tell them yet, and I told them a lie that I got anxiety from my parents divorce, just so you know in case they ask you tomorrow," Mac whispered, "Goodnight..." "Night," Gordo whispered. Then Mac hung up the phone, shut the lights off and went to bed with the girls.
