My theory on L's past

L's past and his name theory

Me and my cousin believe that L grew up in a orphanage, our reasoning for that is the fact of his name. L. That isn't a very 'normal' name for someone in all honesty, I believe that he had changed his name on several occasions, and one name he had was 'Dark' but in the end he decided on L because it's more basic and he chose it when he became detective.
