It was a cool day up on Dragon Spine, but when was it ever not cool? Snow crunched beneath your's and Albedo's shoes as you walked. He needed some Starsilver to make more paint and you wanted to go with him. Hand in hand you walked until finally you spotted the shimmering ore near a ledge, not too close though, "Look Albedo! There's some over there!" Before he could answer you run towards the cluster of ores.
You heard his shout far to late. There was a sheet of ice in that area, your feet slipped out from under you and you held on for dear life as to not drop into the icy water not too far below. The drop would hurt but it wouldn't kill you, however you couldn't swim and the bodies of water on Dragon Spine were dangerously cold.
The ice was burning cold on your hands and didn't have much grip. Your hands started to slip as Albedo made his way towards you. " Y/N hold on! I'm almost there!" As he reached you your hands slipped and you fell into the freezing lake below. You hit your head on a stray sheet of ice making you dizzy and disoriented as you thrashed about in the water in a desparate attempt to stay above the surface. Albedo hurried his way down the safest path towards the water, not caring about the cuts and scrapes he got.
Your body finally began to give in and sink below the surface embracing the calm,quiet almost inviting darkness. Albedo had dove into the water and was making his way towards you, grabbing the hood of your coat and dragging you out of the water.

When you woke up Albedo had layed you across his lap, his coat layed over you and your soaking jacket no where to be seen. You were both in a small cave, not too deep but deep enough to keep some warmth trapped in, there was a small fire presumably Albedo had made next to you two. He was combing his fingers through your damp hair with his eyes closed, leaned back against the cave wall.

     " Albedo..?" You spoke hoarsely. Albedo heard your quiet voice and opened his eyes , " You're awake. I apologize for not reaching you fast enough..." His eyes droop sadly as he looks at you , "I understand if you want to go back to Mondstat, it's too dangerous here." You shook your head violently, "I dont want to leave you Albedo, it was a minor incident!" Albedo sighs, "But what if I didn't reach you fast enough..."
     You shakily sat up, the energy in your body still sapped from the icy cold water, "But you did reach me,  I trust you Albedo, I was just being foolish!" You said, holding his face in your hands. Albedo smiles softly, and touches his nose to yours. "Ok... I GUESS you can stay." He smirks. You playfully push him over and lay on his chest immobilizing him and he wraps his arms around you laughing, "I love you Y/N."
"I love you too, Albedo."
